Of course it does.

Certainly law enforcement eye witness testimony will be good enough for a conviction like everybody else.

Did the NFL ever issue discipline for this, or did Goodell just stick his head in the sand?  a player would have caught 4 games mininum.

Every other John caught in that ring is so, so very glad the sting caught a super-rich person who can buy... whoops, I mean hire lawyers who can successfully appeal for a ruling tossing out the evidence against them.

Yeah, different judge, different jurisdiction, but hearing Judge Wapner here preach strict adherence to Fourth Amendment rights, Breonna Taylor's killers get off scot-free.

I think they usually wait for the legal system to do their thing first.  We'll have to see if the county drops the charges.
And if they do drop a fine, it'll be the day there's much bigger football news.  OJ Simpson dead at 73, Drew Brees announces his retirement, Andy Reid lost 100 pounds and bobkraftsomethingsomething.

On the bright side, when crowds get to go back to games, the Patriots will be heckled relentlessly.

"Haaaaaaand Jawwwwwwb" will become the new "Daaaaaaaa-rylllll."

I'm sure they're waiting for the legal process to play itself out. That's what they did when Jim Irsay got arrested for driving while high on pills. They waited to issue discipline until he'd plead guilty and been sentenced.

That's not really how it worked.  We yell at visiting right fielders from the bleachers in Fenway.

Kraft won't get any trouble from the 100 section at Gillette because he's home and you won't see him in public anyways unless they win the Lamar Hunt trophy and he gives yet another drunken speech.

They don't do this for players though. Players get suspended even when no charges are filed.

yeah and to what I said, players don't get the benefit of the doubt / "let's see what the court does".  there was a Cardinal player a few years back that was involved in a domestic violence arrest and got i think 6 games.  then he..............tested positive for PEDs, or some such, and I don't think ever played again.

Were these cops so dumb as to not bother to get a warrant authorizing them to install secret recording equipment in the establishment in question in this case? If no warrant was issued authorizing the installation of the recording equipment, then the cops done screwed up and the "evidence" no longer exists, as I doubt that the owner of the establishment in question was going to give the cops permission to install that recording equipment, and they should have been able to find a judge in their jurisdiction to sign off on a "probable cause" warrant to install the recording equipment.

Because they expect johns to be too embarrassed to actually litigate their case.

The CBA that players agree to during negotiations lays out the process for league imposed discipline. That's why. The owners don't have a CBA and their discipline is treated differently as a result. The players could hold out and make that a sticking point, but they won't.

Has a player ever been suspended for hiring a prostitute? All I can find are references to Kraft and a long retired Warren Sapp.

There was a player who got caught with a prostitute the night before a Super Bowl. I don't recall if he played or not

Lawrence Taylor was caught with an underage prostitute if memory serves me right.

That said, I'm glad that this is being thrown out. When people talk about defunding the police, this is exactly the kind of crap that we need to get rid of from the police. The cops should never be allowed to commit felonies in order to pursue misdemeanors.
