Not if they're going to redux GTO.

Friendly reminder that Grand Theft Auto III is still the best Grand Theft Auto game.

The article sure seems to be reading a lot into a company renewing a domain name it owns.

It's just part and parcel for protecting IP. Domain names cost next to nothing to renew, and letting them lapse is a bad idea.

Why would I fight you when I could AGREE with you?

Lewd.  I would ask you to tell me more, but this is not the kinky dating sites.  What a shame.

Likely just holding it to prevent people from taking it.

The rumor I've heard that I give the most credence too is GTA "Narcos" essentially. Which puts you in a few cities in South America/Columbia and Miami during the 80's.

But who really knows. Either way, even if they announced it tomorrow, it'd probably have 2-3 years to go.

At what point do we get to hop in-game flights between various GTA "cities"? Not quite an open world but close enough.

Exactly.

This is what the intern in the legal department does.

That's actually the last one that I played.

GTA Portland.  You could fight federal agents at protests while riding a unicycle then drive out to the country and squat in national park buildings while people mail you dildos.

I liked the 80's feel of vice city. Didn't play any after that. Only played 3 before it.

GTA V is still one of the best "game" experiences I've ever had. The story is excellent, the characters are perfect for the universe, and it's huge.

Pretty sure the next GTA game will be Graduate Teaching Assistant: Bullworth.

We can only hope. I thought there was talk about it a year or two ago, but I've not seen anything lately.

I remember there was some obscure tweet with the schools logo a year or two ago, nothing came from that

GTA needs to give Miami (Vice City, whatever) a makeover, like recent GTA games have done. Hell, the Everglades weren't even in Vice City. Everglades City has a past that would be a perfect addition to VC.

Although it would be a pain driving the highways that are always under construction.

A face lift after 18 years from the blocky PS2 era with the content of GTAV would be amazing.  They could expand the world to the Florida Keys and Everglades for even more content easy enough.  Hell I would love to see a parody take on Disney World but that might be a bit far to incorporate half the state.  The 80s music, fashion, and garishness would be highly desirable.

I agree with this. I mean yeah some of the missions are lame but chasing a crashing plane on a dirtbike or using the three character switching ability while reenacting the heist from the opening of Heat for example are just fun gaming.  The world is vibrant, the cars drive well, it's a good game. My only real beef with it is the hostility of the NPCs. In other open world games you can wander the streets and look at interesting stuff, in GTA because they were going for humor often simply existing is enough to make NPCs start fights with you.

There are some weak missions for sure, but there are a LOT of missions to do. The heist missions are the best, I love the planning elements to them and I hope that they grow that concept in other criminal enterprises for the next version.

The thing I really love about V is how alive the world feels. There are so many different sub-systems running in it. At the time of its release (and even now to an extent) it was unrivaled in that area. The driving is the best of any in the series too.

NOTHING beats that first time you're driving around in GTA V, evading the police and causing wrecks left and right on the highway, you get that fifth star, and this starts.
