America is an oversized load of explosive material and he's the truck driver doing lines off of the case of a Will Smith CD.

Ya know, in Vientiane, Laos, there's a huge structure popularly known as "The Vertical Airstrip" because it was built from an entire shipload or three of concrete the US sent over to build an airstrip before the US got bored with the idea of fighting in Asia.

I'm seeing Trunp's vanity project as far less useful and probably worse for wildlife in about six months.

I wonder what is going to become of that border wall when he is no longer president. Will future presidents actually allow what remains of the wall to stand for decades to come?

I'm hoping Biden tears the damn thing down.

The biggest fools were the ones that didn't bother going out to vote.

Some thought it was in the bag, and some 'just didn't like her'.

(And Comey's announcement a week prior didn't help much.)

Meh, if they don't want it just leave it as is. Tearing it down would just cost millions more that could be used for more important things. HA! Like that would happen. Well, a Farker can dream......

Engrave the names of everyone who died from covid on it. Or alternatively paint the alphabet in large block letters and decree it the Trump presidential library.

At any rate I think it should remain as a testament to the lunacy of the age.

Why thanks Democrats? Does it make more sense to spend more money to hire contractors to take the sections down? Nice symbolic gesture, but a complete waste of resources to remove a complete waste of resources.

"She said Fish and Wildlife has documented a correlated drop in deep aquifer well head pressure and that the refuge recently found larger capacity pumps are now needed to maintain pond levels and outflows, adding that the contractor in charge of the project has purchased and is installing those higher capacity pumps."

So the water level of this wildlife refuge is being artificially maintained?

In Mexico, contractors stole an ancient Aztec temple. Trumpland needs to look lively or it may leave it's throne as Kingdom of Misrule and Stupidity.

This wall is being built for the sole purpose of generating massive fees for steel and concrete companies which are controlled by organized crime. Trump is paying back the mobsters that own him. You think a little thing like the environment is going to get in the way of that?

2020-08-15 10:49:46 AM
Reading that makes me want to go back to bed and pull the covers over my head.

2020-08-15 11:22:15 AM
Well... Yeah. The process goes something like this:

We have been hired to build this.

You can't use that water because environment.

What happens if we use it?

The environment is negatively impacted and that's bad.

It's a government contract. Is anyone going to shoot us or sue us for lots of money?

No, we don't have guns...

F*ck off then. Bob, get those pumps on here.

Later...

We aren't getting enough water out of that pond.

You weren't supposed to take it and that's why.  Now it's draining the aquifer too.

Good to know.  Bob, get bigger pumps and get water into that pond from the aquifer.

That's even worse!

F*ck off. MAGA

I'm not the brightest guy in the world, but Donald Trump for President? I'm not a huge fan of Hillary (no, not the emails or Benghazi, more Whitewater and the Clinton Foundation), but even I thought it was no contest. A puffed-up narcissist with no political experience at all against a former Sec of State?  Sure, not the best options, but if ya gotta choose one, how about the one with at least some clue about what they are getting into?

I voted for her. Somewhat reluctantly, but Trump just smelled really bad, so I went for the least objectionable option.

I think there are something like a dozen miles of new wall that didn't replace an existing wall or fence.

Robbie Mook bears the blame for the campaign. If Beau hadn't died,, Biden might have been nominated instead. The US will probably never have a woman president in my lifetime, what's left of it, because this country has too many men who won't support a woman candidate.
