mactheknife: End_Of_Line: I think we can safely include most all of PA in that description. A depressingly large portion of our state has responded to this by claiming they are smarter than scientists, doctors, nature......

I've said it elsewhere here on Fark but it bears repeating:  Pennsylvania is Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, with a metric farkton of North Alabama in between.

Well, I'm sitting in Stonerstown, PA, so. . .
Yeah. All the all the ad-hominems about Pennsylvanians hereabouts have been carefully pedigreed and inbred for generations.

If I hear one more person say "Gorsh" I swear, I'll knock them out and enroll them at Yale.
They'll wake up in an advanced Lit class and be shamed into speaking properly.

vudukungfu: I grew up within walking distance to Al's

Allow me to verify that the core clientele are mouth breathing jaggoffs who would kill Fred Rogers to get stillerz tickets, 'n@.
Yinzers in that area are no smarter than your average igneous item in a museum of natural science.
Don't let those extra large houses in the 15241 fool you.
A seething Peyton Place of  STDs, pin heads, and general backstabbing ne'r do wells populate that suburb. Bethel Park used to be nice, and Peter's Twp, was generally OK, too. But in the last 40 years, it has melded into a disgusting rat race of traffic and retail. There is a dying mall and a bunch of chain stores, but as far as being a community goes, it's more of a series of HOAs with political agendas.
Drive around. See any sidewalks? There is a pretty good indicator of how they like to direct their tax money into social engineering.
You want to walk, or jog? Join the country club. It'$ waiting there for you, neighbor.

😔
You just described my neighborhood in W Mifflin, dude.

The Southwestern Pennsylvania Restaurant and Tavern Association says they have sent letters to Governor Wolf in an effort to work together but have not heard back.

Well the governor hasn't responded because he probably never received the letter if sent via USPS.  You should talk to Dolt45 on that.

/I have relatives east of Pittsburgh.  One moved to FL and just put up a huge Trump flag.  Another appears to be a Q-tard.  The rest will probably vote for Trump while complaining about the government.
