That's great. The closer our representatives get to representing the people they represent, the better.

Good.

Thankfully every day we have to witness the civil rights movement over and over again...you know because life and liberty only apply to my white ass...

Republican POC confuse me as much as Republican public school teachers...

"Where's my African-American??"

Isn't there a little bit of old morally bankrupt racist white man in all of us?

Where?  Down with a serious case of Jesus-poisoning, that's where.

Until the GOP strips off their (mostly White)Evangelical enslavement, they can't have a consistent economic policy that isn't overtly racist.

This is why Turmp is such a monkey wrench....he's unapologetic about his racism, and whatever his "America First"  economic ideas claim, they are only about keeping rich White Americans/White Europeans who already have money from losing out to "Non-Westerners" in the big money game.  Ordinary workers don't matter in the slightest, except as dupes at he voting booth.  If he keeps up his naked behavior, eventually it will become too egregious to hide.

Good
It's about time
Congratulations

Sounds like premature celebration, but if it keeps up, good. As a not-quite old, definitely not rich white guy, I'm getting a little sick of seeing the direction old rich white guys are taking this country. Look at our current trajectory. We have a POTUS who is openly racist and his policies reflect that, with often horrifying results. We need more people in power who don't just knee-jerk respond with "Well it doesn't affect me. What's the harm?"

I remember a time when fark's headlines were more than a cut and paste of TFA. We were less depressed then, I think.

I just wanted to cheer. TFA left me wanting to sing a victory song.

Carry on.

So racism is fixed now, right?

Summoner101: So racism is fixed now, right?

Nope.  But it's finding fewer rocks to hide under as people kick them away.

Have been for a few election cycles, at least - and they have often been the difference in close elections decided in the Democrats favor.

That is why - among other reasons - why Kamala Harris' choice as VP is good optics.

*its a good choice, period. But it's also good optics in recognition of the importance of female black Democratic voters, is my meaning

No. Not like a monolith. At all.

I just came here to say that the author appears to be very proud of this turn of phrase, but they really shouldn't be.  It's... bad.  Someone should have told her it was bad and suggested she not make it her headline.

According to white male liberals, yes.  Hasn't it been explained to you yet?
