(The Hill)   Oh, no. Susan Collins is concerned about delays in the Post Office. If they don't improve soon, she may even become disappointed. Then they'll really be in for it   (thehill.com) divider line

How will she send her stern letter!?

Susan Collins telling a Trump lackey to stop throwing the election for Trump, after trump has openly admitted he's trying to derail the voting process.

Right.

Because when I think Washington Power Player, I think Susan Collins and her perpetually for-sale vote, her f*cking concern trolling and her mighty 4 split electoral votes.

Yep.

I'd give Romney a partial pass if he disavows Trump, but every other GOP asshat in the Senate (and the House, for that matter) are fully responsible for this shiat show.  We had the opportunity to finally oust this traitorous piece of shiat and they just embraced it.

Remember how she thought he'd be chastised by being impeached alone, so a conviction was unnecessary?

Madame Defarge remembers.

Don't be fooled, the defunding of the post office is not going to be system wide. Instead it's going to be targeted specifically at locations in blue districts in swing states. Susan Collins could very well benefit from this so I don't see her concern as particularly genuine. If she was truly concerned she could do something about it.

She's not concerned, she's giving herself cover from when she calls for the shutdown of the postal service due to the many complaints of poor service from her constituents.

F*ck you, Susan.

History will remember she was right. trump did learn a lesson from his impeachment. He learned that he could do whatever the fark he wanted and the gop would back it implicitly or be quietly complicit. She is as responsible for the US COVID response as trump.

I truly despise this woman.

Trump? Barr? The Sad Little Turtle Who Ruined Everything? They, at least, are quite open about their venality, their fascism, their balls-out hypocrisy.

But this biatch continues to insult our intelligence with this transparent pretense to moderate, dispassionate judgment.

That, and she really looks like my dead grandmother, but evil.

FTFA: "I have talked to postal employees and received calls from my constituents in Maine who expressed concern regarding the delays in delivery of critically needed mail, including prescriptions."

Ah, there it is. What she's really asking is "when Trump put you in charge and you deliberately ordered a freeze on all overtime hours and ordered offices to dismantle and send away their sorting machines, did you forget that my constituents are on Medicare and we mail them pills to cut corners at pharmacies?"

I agree on every point except the dead Grandmother part.

She looks like my dead Grandmother, only that woman was rotten to her very core.

So they both look alike to me.

She is either the most compromised person in the repug party, or she just doesn't have spine.  Now sure the whole reptile thing is a conspiracy, but I am pretty sure reptiles have a spine, so I have to assume she is a just a slug.

Why she still exists in such a powerful position, is well ... umm ... graft and grifting.

The US needs a new modern constitution and it needed to be done yesterday, because something as old as it is, is no longer solid enough to protect the people from the oligarchs.

There are like 9 people in Maine.

She reacted more forcefully when the local grocer stop honoring the other grocer's coupins.

Who gives a f*ck about Maine other than the 2 Senate seats?

"This organizational change will capture operating efficiencies by providing clarity and economies of scale that will allow us to reduce our cost base and capture new revenue."

And what could be more efficient than shutting down and removing mail sorting machines!

"They want $25 billion for the post office. Now, they need that money in order to have the post office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots." "Now in the meantime, they aren't getting there. By the way, those are just two items. But if they don't get those two items that means you can't have universal mail-in voting, because they're not equipped to have it."
"Now, if we don't make a deal that means they don't get the money. That means they can't have universal mail-in voting," the president added. "They just can't have it. So, you know, sort of a crazy thing.
"
But Biden is the one with mental problems.YIKES!

I don't know. I've had a package sitting in Florida since July 20. Hasn't left the PO yet. Meanwhile, my dad lives down there. I sent him a package for his birthday. Took two days to get there via UPS. I think they're purposefully creating an enormous backlog all over the place. So that when the ballots do show up, they won't be processed until all the backlog is cleared out. Meanwhile, I work up advice. If you need to send someone mail, do not send it Media Mail. It literally will not be touched.

It is when you're wearing an n95 mask and whispering so you're not drawing attention to the fact that you're on the Fark instead of working in the ICU. LOL. A lot of my posts come out garbled. I don't even correct them anymore cuz I figured out that not very many people are actually paying attention to what I'm saying. How about you take some of that subsidy money you give to oil companies (which is at the expense of Americans), and channel that over to the Postal Service?

It's not an issue of money - while the USPS has some money flow issues due to idiotic requirements they have to follow, the current issues are caused by deliberate actions to destroy it by that asshole DeJoy at the behest of that asshole trump.

Deliberate malfeasance like this ought to be treated as criminal activity.

The Hill is trying to make it sound like the senator opposes funding for the post office. But her letter suggests she prefers funding the post office over the service cuts the postmaster general is making. It's just plain sh*tty writing.
