From a poll released this morning:
What's particularly striking is Trump and Biden are now tied with whites at 48%. Trump had a 6-point advantage with the group at the end of June.
To underscore the significance of this, Trump won white voters by 20 points in 2016, and no Democrat has gotten more than 44% of the white vote (Clinton 1996) in a presidential election since 1976.

Notably, Biden leads by 19 points voters who say they dislike both candidates. That's important because in 2016, Trump won voters who said they disliked both Trump and his Democrat Hillary Clinton by 30 points, according to exit polls
.

I hope this holds true through the election, and blows over into the Senate races.

It's because everyone knows he's going to cheat and no one knows if it'll work.

Smells like bullshiat to me.
-He's had 4 years of failures
-Is the most unpopular globally and nationally that he's ever been
-There's an active pandemic with the most stupid response from his administration
- Widespread civil unrest in the streets
-And he's not running against a deeply unpopular female candidate.

This is the inevitable cycle of trump. Come in riding a gilded turd and making yuge promises, bigly. Rake in as much grift as he can from the marks (usually investors, in this case the GOP party bosses, reps, and voters), do fark all and scream "unfair" or accuse anyone who points out he is doing fark all of lying. When it becomes obvious he has done fark all and that anyone and anything involved is about to lose their money, their careers, their reputations, or even their freedom for a few years, start screaming about how things are a yuge success. People say to him all the time they can't believe how beautiful, how luxurious, The Best! it is, and how disappointed they are that they can't be part of it, too. Threaten to sue anyone who point out it's all bullshiat until, eventually, nobody will take his calls, nobody will come to his super classy events, and most importantly, nobody will let him within a mile of their money. Then, fark off to one of his "world class, luxury properties" to drive golf carts on the second rate fairways and greens and paw at women paid to pretend he's overwhelming them with his virility. Call in to AM and satellite radio all afternoon and maybe wheeze into a remote camera to whine of Fox and Friends. After a few months, maybe a year or two, gild another turd and find another pile of marks to dazzle with it.

He's been doing it for decades.

Decades.

That any of this is a surprise is an indictment of our country. He's only one of the most successful con men in history because we are arguably the most militantly, aggressively ignorant country in history. In any other modern, industrialized nation trump would have been in prison or effectively banished from business and public life a decade ago.

The two decade long hate campaign against the Clintons certainly helped.  We'll just have to wait and see how 40,000 Midwest rednecks decide to vote.

Honest question, since she was a "model" in the 80's, has Melania done anything other than age?

Absolutely. She has evolved into one hell of a successful interior decorator.

[Fark user image image 400x400]

She also puts a ton of of blood, sweat, and tears into her garden, spending countless hours tending the plants and pulling weeds.

[Fark user image image 585x400]

If there's a better role model out there, I have yet to see her.

It's weird that the fact that he's been impeached for being a corrupt traitor isn't even in the top five of reasons not to vote Trump.

Don't stop.  Vote.  Keep punching.  Bring up things with your Trumper friends.  Volunteer to drive people to polls.  Kick the guy in the ribs when he's down and never forget that he'd kick you for longer when you were down.  Work a phone bank.  Vote.  This is important, and this is not the time to slack off.

CSB
Grabbed Qdoba yesterday and heard two men talking.  One said "well, I am going to have to just ignore who the leader is at the top when I pull the lever.  Hate voting for the idiot."

Party before country.

But as many of us have commented, that is what we Americans are fighting (heaven forbid you vote for the best candidate and ignore party)

Note I am in no way saying it is limited to America. Ethnic cleansing; sunni vs shiites; we humans are good with coming up with us vs them.
