I know someone who lived in a 8x10 rental storage unit for at least two months.
Said there was one employee who never left his little office.

I know another guy who slept on a nice boat at a marina all one winter while he was "homeless" in the middle of a divorce. Never got caught. No security whatever. Took showers at the workout spot at work.

SansNeural: Harry Freakstorm: We thought there was a bum like living in the office building.  Smelly guy wearing old flip flops.  Turned out he was a UNIX programmer

You kicked him out anyway, right?

We tried to RM him but until we reboot the building he's technically still there

So three beers?

Get the joke, but this is USL - the minor leagues of American Soccer. And like minor league baseball, they'll damned near pay you to drink to get people in the stands.

This reminds me of the artist who built a secret room in a shopping mall parking garage.

It would have been insanely funny had I not just come back to the office after a week in the hospital after I was beaten by a crazed homeless person while walking to work.

Hahahahahhaahaha

Some Junkie Cosmonaut: mofa: Why is the security system in my 1080 square foot home more comprehensive than that of a professional sports stadium?

Probably because they haven't been hit before.  That's the usual reason stuff like that goes down when you'd figure they'd have cameras and systems checking stuff out.  "Well no one's ever done that we didn't think we needed that here." is something you will hear time and time and time again.

/had a friend that worked for a company that did pro system installs - museums, corporate, venue, airports etc.
//that was #1 on his list of "Shiat we hear every 10 minutes."
///#2 of course was, "That's more money that we wanted to spend, can't you do it cheaper?"

Looks like there were cameras, they just weren't monitored by, well, anybody ever (they tracked his trips to the team store and to the drink stand by reviewing the footage).  It also looks like the place had been empty for months due to Covid.

Wasn't that kinda like the one of the opening scenes for Zombie Land?

I broke into the Swamp--before it was so named--to watch a big campus fire.  It was surprisingly easy.

Sometimes its not about originality, just raw speed.

Neja is arrested on charges of burglary and resisting an officer without violence.

Then it's not resisting. Fark off with that bullshiat add-on charge.

2020-08-13 5:41:20 PM
The cops never charge him with the original offense - trespassing. I know that burglary and resisting have stiffer penalties, but now the stadium won't have a prior trespassing charge against him should this happen again (and you know it will).

Remember that show The Pretender? It was about a genius amnesiac that pretended to have a different career every episode.

I want an all Florida version of that show with drugs and alligators and hurricanes and sinkholes and old people.

Agreed. Just the other day I was asked what I thought about crime in our town. I said, "it could be better."

Typically there's nothing there of real value; the value of the stuff in there is mostly a construct

Doubt me? The security sucked.

Random Anonymous Blackmail: Mr. Fuzzypaws

A friend of mine lived in a hallway closet of a large house that was turned into apartments for a couple months. A couple of the tenants knew he was there but didn't care because all he did was keep his stuff there and sleep.

Why would someone turn a house into apartments for only a couple of months?

To pay the mortgage, for a couple of months.

FLMountainMan: omg bbq: Love how they are so speedy in arresting and adding up the damages when a homeless person farks up.

I really don't understand why he doesn't buy some more money and hire a big-shot lawyer.

Two weeks is "speedy"?  And how much actual jail time do you think this guy is gonna serve?

How fast they dealt with him once they found him. It's not his fault the cheap farks don't have a patrolling security guard.

Did this have the hero tag? Because it needs the hero tag.

I have this thought that if grand theft auto was really homeless based, this guy would have used cheat codes. Could be the bourbon talked. Noah's mill, fyi.

Nimbull: Well that's one way to solve the homeless problem. Let them stay at stadiums.

i never understood why churchs didn't take in homeless to sleep on pews at night. you wan to spread the farking love, spread it.

COBOL programmers are kinda like bedbugs...

fragMasterFlash: I hope he had access to the team's mascot costume and got to frolic around the stadium in it just for the lulz.

Or maybe he was lonely and frolicked all over it a couple of times a day.  A homeless guy gets lonely.....

So....you let a bunch of thugs and thieves burn down cities and have not done crap to them, why be concerned now.
