That is either the silliest question ever asked on Fark or:

That is pretty awesome!

CSB that Ive related before:

In Houston, a neighborhood that got almost completely wiped out by Harvey that the county wouldn't allow the homes to be rebuilt. There are probably a dozen houses still left and very very spread out. You can see some of the folks living there are expanding their property lines, slowly but surely.

After a year or so, a disc golfer whose house remained, built an 18 hole course on it, bought or scavenged baskets to put out and partially takes care of the grounds, what the county crew doesn't mow, he does.

The criminal activity in the area has gone way down, there is still some, but not nearly as bad. Its a great course, that I really like playing.

Filthy hippies are actually good for something!

I still call it frisbee golf. I get my cold beverage from the fridgedaire. I fix papers with scotch tape.

I love disc golf and this sounds fun (though maybe not this year), but fark do I loathe the term 'break the internet'.

Once in a blue moon it's almost apt when there is some crazy shiat that virtually everyone clicks on. But this appears to be many light years from that. But hey, another hours or so and we might hot double digits in this thread. these crazy disc golfers are trying to crash fark!

/settle down drew, you aren't getting DDOSd, it's an article about disc golf in an abandoned prison!!!

I just call it golf to differentiate it from ball golf.

Talk about a rhetorical question.

I've never played disc golf. I'm always looking for fundraising ideas for nonprofits I'm involved with. It never occurred to me that disc golfers might travel the way runners (i.e. marathoners) do for an event. We have scads of distilleries nearby, some of which are situated on beautiful campuses and are already set for visitors.

Anyway, looking for fresh ideas...this introduces a couple of concepts to each other. Might. Just
Work.

Hold on while I grab a cold one out of my Igloo cooler.

I am about as good at disc golf as I am at regular golf (not very at all) but I still love it. I need to go get some new (well - new to me, anyway) discs this weekend though, because my 5-year old sank enough of my discs this summer that I had to play 18 holes on Saturday with just a putter.

I have no idea what the costs are to rent/install baskets, but this sounds badass. Best of luck!
