Does the wife-sharing lifestyle fit easily within evangelical Christianity's belief system? I mean, I'm sure it does I'm just curious to know how it's rationalized.

And lo, the Lord said:  "Hot, insatiable lady and her handsome body builder husband, experienced swingers, seek similar couples or exceptional muscular well-hung single men."

If there is a god, Stone will catch coronavirus at this non-socially distanced gathering and succumb to the disease after a long, drawn-out stint on a respirator.

If that happens, I'll go back to shul.

All Christian sex involves Jesus, so yes, sort of. Even better, because he's everywhere at once, he's present in all of the orifices of both partners.

Any even more transcendentally, Jesus is also involved in the sex of all Christians everywhere who are doing it at that moment. It's like the biggest orgy in the world, and it's all connected by Jesus.

Ah, Evangelicalism, Where a person is allowed to commit crimes, get Baptized, and or re-Baptized, to be washed of their sins, or crimes against people and the State, to be accepted back into society based on their church law disregarding the laws of the State.

Yes, so called "Christians" believe their god supersedes the laws of society. And yes, these "Christians" believe they are the only Christians. Yep, they do not care for the US Constitution.

But if you're a woman your whole sex is condemned because a woman ate a piece of fruit.

My dad and I were talking about this just last week.  Swaggert, Bakker, that old guy who always smoked a cigar, nothing but con men and hypocrites but because they all ask Jesus to forgive them it's fine.

He's on the side that wants to outlaw abortion and to make Christianity the official religion in the US.

That's all they care about.

2020-08-13 11:11:35 AM
Once again, another christian uses their "faith" as a shield against criticism.  The only purpose of that religion is to create amoral assholes who feel that they can get away with anything while lying about their persecution.

Now, will someone show me one Christian leader who loudly accuses them of not being Christians?
It doesn't exist, because all of them are the same.  I guess, to them jim bakker and jim jones are just as Christian as Fred Rogers or Mother Teresa.  If they think that, so should everyone else.

johnphantom: Do you need any more evidence that this whole forgiveness thing is the most evil thing put on the World?

I'm not at all a fan of Chirtianity, but I can't agree with this: Forgiveness (or the possibility thereof) can actually be an important tool for reform and behavior modification. No matter what you've done, every day you're still alive you have to wake up and decide if you're going to make other people's lives better or worse. If (as we frequently see on the politics tab) you tell people who recognize their failures "no, fark you, you are scum and will always be scum," that basically ensures that they'll never come around to your way of thinking. At best, they may join up with whatever yahoos allow them to feel okay about themselves, and at worst they may say "fark it, I am terrible, I'm going to be as terrible as I want."

On the other hand, the possibility of having a black mark stricken from your ledger can be a poweful incentive.

Where Christianity goes wrong is in making forgiveness both cheap and mandatory. By "cheap," I mean that it makes the mystical, intangible, forgiveness of God the part that really matters, and allows you to obtain it very quickly, regardless of what the actual people you've wronged think. By "mandatory," I mean that Christianity commands that you forgive others regardless of harm, serial offenses, or suspected insincerity, lest you put your own salvation at risk. (c.f. "The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant.") That sort of thing is how you make a religion that is particulatly good at enabling oppressor and abusers.
