Enough?

Look at the White House right now. Look at that triple fence for the Bunker Baby. Look at your neighborhood still jacked up because the President didn't like the advice he got about COVID. Look at the protests across the country for justice equality, and being cracked down on and supported by a President who hates the thought of checks and balances, or any remote concept of responsibility.

Look at this sh*t.

Not "enough"? Sling your outrage somewhere else. This isn't the time for it. It's not the time to check off your bonafides as a Liberal writer. Now is the time to go to figurative war, and you'd be damn well better off slipping the damn gloves off at Donnie and his ilk, and supporting your party's choices to get them into office. THAT is the only thing that matters. It's about survival, not your feelings. Get over yourself you privileged and sheltered snot, or get the f*ck out of the way. There are bigger fish to fry right now. And certainly more dangerous ones out there as well. Perspective, O Dear Author, get some.

You want to have a philosophical discussion on if a male candidate should choose running mate that happens to be a woman, chosen for her record and what she brings the ticket, that's for a time when the country ISN'T burning you eejit...

"I guess that at least there are plenty of guys like Joe Biden to throw us a bone every now and again."

Phrasing? Really?

Also, tfa ignores the inevitability that, if elected, Harris will be president within a couple years. That's a given. Biden and Biden's team are well aware of that, too, and it no doubt helped shape their decision to pick a smart-as-a-whip Gen Xer.

Jeezy Creezy, revolutions either come slowly or they come violently and quickly.  We're at the point where we stop electing GOP and hold our noses and vote for Biden/Harris and push for better candidates and better congressional people in 2022 and 2024, or we start shooting and bombing.  America is at a crisis point with the fascists in the White House, and we have to work with what we have to undo the damage if we want to remain peaceful.

No, spending years here grinding on the Benghazi nothingburger, then working with Russian operatives before the election, all to undermine the "maybe it's time to give a sane person a try" candidate while lying about and hiding the crimes of the "shut up and like it" candidate is what got the "shut up and like it" candidate into office by the skin of the electoral college's teeth after the other candidate still beat him by millions in the popular vote.

Thanks for the comments. I tried to rtfa, but my eyes glazed over and I started seeing polka-dot patterns all around me.

I hate conservatives and I'm beginning to hate liberals for this bullshiat. You can't change anything if you're not in power to make the change. These damned "principled" liberals really fark it up for those of us who have to be pragmatic instead of idealistic with our politics.

Hillary got the most votes in the primaries.  She was not plopped on the ballot by some svengalis from the bowels of Hell like a totem at the last minute.  And, yes, if the other option is a raging farkwit (who was self-evidently a raging farkwit in the 80s, much less by 2016), then you shut up and like it.  Because the alternative is what we are living through right now.  You do not try and replace the AC while the house is currently on fire. You put out the fire with whatever is at hand.  Then, when the house is safe, that is when you work on the AC.

Look, the DNC isn't dedicated to Nazism.  They are dedicated to winning elections.  If it wins them elections, they will eat any ass you put in front of them.  Probably the single best thing that happened in the last few weeks is AOC's crew simply crushing their primary challengers.  Because they are now seen as able to win reelection.  Do that, and add in more like-minded Congresscritters, and the DNC will become so woke, you will look like the Nazi in comparison.  But, for now, we need to stop the GOP from dismantling the Constitution wholesale.  In the primaries, merrily gut anyone inside the tent you want.  But come the general, you drag your ass out there and start slicing and dicing the actual farking enemy.

2020-08-12 7:30:59 PM
After reading the comments, I have to conclude there's a contingent of people who don't actually have a perfect candidate, real or imagined. They live to biatch and complain, regardless of who wins the primary.
