The fact that people like Bolsonaro or the House of Saud are never the target of CIA-backed coups is proof enough that America never gave a shiat about human rights abuses. Well, that and the numerous human rights abuses we commit.

Unlike many lies, this one is easily debunked.

Satellites. Specifically satellites that take pictures of earth.

But, you know, somebody just going to accuse me of being an subversive activist of the mole people, whom are subsidiaries of the reptilian illuminate, bent on destruction of NASCAR and fried chicken, a determined enemy of the pizza pedo and flat brain truthers.

/but I assure you that such accusations are a bit overblown

I get more of a "creative port wine" name vibe out of that. But, one that's secretly mocking americans...

I don't see "fake news" in the headline so I believe.

So he basically thinks the rain forest can't catch fire because it's a "rain" forest.

OK then.

Over 100,000 Brazilians have died from Covid under Bolsonaro.

That is a lot of deaths.

He's lying and bullshiating and gas-lighting at near Trump levels.

Bonus Points: unlike the Covid 19 or "fake news", you can see Amazon fires from farking space satellites.

He's funny because he is Mussolini to Trump'shiatler. Or is it the other way 'round?

Maybe he's second in command to shiatler or Cheetolini. Maybe he is doing a remake of the "Boys from Brazil".

Or he could just be a huge moron. God knows they do get elected to run countries. Look at what we did to ourselves in the US.

i hate this headline.

it's so far from the actual issue-

2nd year in a row brasil denies HUGE (and significant beyond just size) human-set amazon rainforest fires, that will both hurt the entire ecosystem and SPECIFICALLY hurt/directly kill/fully deprive-of-ANY-livelihood the indigenous people of the forest. (whom racist f*ck bolsonaro sees as a block to "real brazilian" capitalism and is super happy to eliminate. they don't call him "the southern trump" for nothing folks...)

these same indigenous people/their mostly indigenous "amazon city people" descendants are being DESTROYED by covid, in both brasil and peru. and as ANOTHER "bonus" these fires hurt the entire global ability to fight climate change.

-and the resulting thread has so few comments i didn't even click.

but i came back a full second-and-a-half later, because i have a personal vested interest in the amazon, and thought this might secretly be something important.

this issue is important on a global scale. subby's headline does nothing to even interest anyone to see what it means, AND is a cheap and confusing joke (uhmm, "hearty pasta dish"?).

So many people say they care about the environment, but they won't support a forceful intervention to stop Brazil's destruction of the rain forest. The US should just annex it (at gun point) and make it one giant national park.  The Brazilian government can't be trusted to conserve it.

Even if they could be trusted (they can't) and had the moral authority to do so, (they don't) the US isn't physically capable of protecting the Amazon forest for an indefinite period of time with their military. This is why soft power is so important, and the US already spent most of that fighting Trump's trade wars (that entirely benefited China).
