Duh. The utter tool has never once fought fair. I'd bet he's never fought, at all. Never taken a punch or had to defend himself because he's been surrounded by the ability to buy his way out of anything. He's the worst aspects of humanity, in control of (what used to be) the most powerful nation in the world.

The silver lining is that Trump's best is farking pathetic every single time.

It's Barr, Pompeo, and Pence you have to worry about.  And the ever complicit GOPers in the Senate.

Thank You, Captain Obvious.  He's never done anything honestly in his whole pathetic life, why would he start now? People who have NPD are the most dangerous when they are facing potentially humiliating event.

While this is a given, I do find it encouraging that this time around, the press and the Dems seem to be screaming loudly about it.

Yeah. I see everywhere people stating to drop off ballots too, and not do it through the mail. This could greatly backfire on him.

I just hope they do it at the proper election office; unattended outdoor drop boxes WILL be firebombed.

Forgot to mention the bigger rigging problem: not getting mailed ballots in time OR AT ALL.

Trump is a criminal, but an inept one.  The Democrats have to put on their adult pants and start fighting right and smart on this.

The state of freedom and democracy are at stake.  Trump is setting himself up as a dictator, and his supporters love him for it.

Last line from the article: "Who is president next year may depend on which side the military takes."

Not long ago, I would have scoffed at the idea of America becoming that kind of country during my lifetime. It really doesn't take long for things to fall apart.

If he thinks a close election made for a tough presidency he want's nothing to do with a stolen presidency. He would absolutely end up getting the Gaddafi treatment in that scenario. Despite what he may believe he wants, he really don't want anything to do with a stolen election.

I hate that Trump is trying to be a dictator, but Kamala is a cop and ACAB...so

Yes we know this. How many more practically identical stories about this do we need? We've had stories about this every day for like a week. We know, he torpedoed the USPS to slow it down and sabotage mail in voting.

The irony here is that mail in ballots traditionally lean Republican because they are mostly cast by old people who traditionally lean Republican, so Trump is potentially shooting himself in the groin by attacking such.  Of course, Covid can potentially change both parts of that equation. (Are old people going to still mostly vote for Trump, even after he farked up the Covid response?  Are mail in votes mostly going to be from old people in this election or from a more wide base?)

2020-08-11 6:55:16 PM
I admit it: I dismissed the idea that Trump would actually try to steal the election in a major way, or maybe even try to contest a clear loss, because people say that about every President (seriously, they do, everyone on the left was very sure Bush would try to acquire a third term or would steal election #2, and ditto the right for Obama, and the right thought it about Clinton, and I'm sure it's been that way for a long time).

However, I'm starting to think this is the time the broken clock is right.

No, there's going to be 400Million votes just from Georgia, all for Donnie Dipshiat.

Remember his claim of 3 million illegal votes in MA and NH after the 2016 election? Never substantiated. Bussing MA residents to vote in NH? I tthink they actually found a couple who voted twice and convicted them. A couple, that's TWO, Donnie, not busloads.

Why anyone even listens to his blathering any more is a mystery to me. Someone needs to yell "Bullshiat!" from the back row of all his press conferences from now until the election.

I'm as surprised as you are to see America coming apart at the seams in my lifetime, I never thought I'd see it. But never forget that it didn't "fall apart," it was intentionally dismantled by the Republican Party. And every one of them is complicit.

What's the old adage...?

"When you remove the legal means of changing the government, people will resort to extra-legal means of changing the government."

Trump may be singlehandedly rekindling the extremist left.

2020-08-11 6:57:31 PM
Ya.  Maybe we should do something about that.

2020-08-11 6:58:15 PM
One thing I did a couple/few years ago was sign up (free) for Informed Delivery in which every morning I get an email from the USPS with scans of mail that I should be expecting (and recourse if something expected doesn't arrive).

It's handy to be able to see what should be in my mailbox when I go to retrieve it.  (Based on this morning's email my electric bill should be sitting in my box but it can bake in the heat for the time being for all I care)

I know this really doesn't have anything to do with anything and it's been mentioned before but thought I'd throw it out there.

Yeah, well, she is going to have about as much power as Pence has.
Clinton, just to remind you, is not the Antichrist. She's a politician, and a damn sight more capable one than Trump.

They are not press conferences.

They are press concerts.

He asks for questions that are just the friendliest reporters singing his chorus so the sound bites are just political ads.

We are doomed.

It won't end with the election.  Conservatives are anti-American filth and need to be utterly ruined on all levels.

https://patch.com/illinois/chicago/no-mail-weeks-post-service-falling-apart-chicago

I'm not in Chicago, but my local post office was way ahead of the curve for years in their attempt to make mail irrelevant. The letter carriers do this cost-saving thing where they stuff mail into random mailboxes without checking to see if it's the actual address or recipient. Probably saves a lot of time. I expect the next phase is they'll dump all the mail in a giant pile in the post office parking lot and once or twice a month you can come by to dig through the pile and see if you can find anything addressed to you.

Just the ones that get laid off for no good reason, after dealing year in and year out with bullshiat budgets where the only goal was to destroy the organization in favor of privatization.

Eh, if he steals the election, we might get to find out what percentage of leftists are open to 2nd amendment solutions. So there's that...

2020-08-11 7:07:09 PM
The headline is completely wrong!  He's paying somebody else to steal the election for him.

You need some outside observers at your election. You know, the ones they always send to the other banana republics.

Being as he's already in the Top 10: Donald Trump Hate List, I'd like to see Bezos step up and offer to "mail" ballots free of charge during all of this.  He certainly could afford it, and it would bring him a ton of good faith publicity and advertising for Amazon.

I do seem to remember some Farker explaining that it's already illegal to send ballots in any other way besides USPS, but I don't know if that was true or not.

Why the hell should that matter, anyway? (Not that logic matters in any of this timeline.)

2020-08-11 7:11:05 PM
Realization: Trump's farked with the mail system too soon. Biden supporters in those cities are going to vote in person if they knew this far in advance that the mail system isn't running properly. Should've waited until there were only a few weeks left and the ballots had been ordered. This will only make a difference for the few people who never would have voted in person but would have voted by mail.

Compared to the coordinated staged outrage the right performs at the slightest provocation, it doesn't really feel like much is being said and done to stop this election theft. A lack of organization and dialogue control is a problem for the left.

Protests might do better now, to nip this in the bud. Election is looming and the sooner the farkery stops, the sooner the damage can be reversed. Those 23 USPS executives and earlier policies might be reversible now, but try that in a few weeks...

Maybe demand some election supervision from a third party?

I'm pulling for you guys, and worried about our future over in Canada. When you get a cold, we sneeze. (Also, please stop trying to abusively cross our border... it's hard enough to manage).

That still does nothing to actually get the mail into your mailbox. My local post office lost a check for several tens of thousands of dollars and has no real answer as to where it could disappear to and not be delivered.

Word. I'm voting in person. I don't care if I get COVID. I'm willing to take one for the team to get orange man gone and anything less than 100% chance my ballot is counted isn't good enough.

I honestly hope they have in-person debates, and Trump throws a punch at Biden. I'd love to see that fat fark try to make a fist, he'd look like a toddler throwing his rattle.
