ok but who has the gerbil's family hostage so that Trump speaks mere gibberish

2020-08-11 7:16:14 PM
Here, I'll start the list..

biatching out a foreign leader after his election because they wouldn't take more refugees(after he refused to take any)
Forcibly pushing another leader at a world summit because he needed to be first
Trade war
We have abandoned allies in the field of battle
Halt of inter-country travel(thanks to a failed pandemic response)
Loss of economic power around the globe
Loss of military power around the globe
Loss of social power around the globe
Loss of geopolitical power
Attempting to influence an allied power to get them to persuade that an event be at one of his resorts
Lying to our allies about that
Lying to the American people about lying about that
Holding a foreign power hostage unless they produced an entirely made up investigation in to one of his political opponents
Lying about that to our allies
Lying to the America people about lying about it
Unmonitored calls to a foreign adversary discussing matters OTHER than their cash payment for dead american soldiers scheme
Begging foreign countries for help in his election
Potentially trying to overthrow a foreign leader....

But North Korea absolutely loves him, so there's that.

That's just some of the stuff we know about.

That's enough with the biased gotcha questions!

Serious though, name one success? I mean for the US. Besides securing a promise for a reach around from NK.  I mean, they did not do it.  But they promised. So it was a win for trump.  Somehow.

Pretty telling that the upscale News Corp rag (WSJ) won't publish his shiat and he's been relegated to the Post.

Trump doesn't know what a doctrine is.

Name one success of the so called Trump Doctine:

Climate Change Agreement? No
Iran denuclearization? No, nuclear escalation
China trade agreement? No
Tariffs? Epic fail, dude doesn't even understand them
North Korea? Hahahahahhaha
Russia no longer a destabilizing Force in the west? Nope, they are worse than 4 years ago
Syria? Sorry Kurds
Afghanistan? Still there and Taliban almost come to Us... almost
G-7: They hate you
Crimea? Still occupied territory for Russia

Wins:
Roberto Duarte loves you.
USMCA - Fine, slight win over Canadian dairy farmers.
Space: Got Space Force

Creating a great grifter opportunity through ending nato and no longer needing a military.

But we will still spend an ungodly amount on our military.

Bith Set Me Up: nyclon: The Trump Doctrine? Really?
By John Yoo? In the NY Post?
Let me laugh even harder

"[T]he more the chaos of Trump's presidency intensifies, the more clear it is that it's far from the aberration his fiercest critics insist it is. Instead, its pandemonium churns not just in the shadow of war criminal George W. Bush's eight years in office, but directly because of them.

[...]

The state of play in the United States is therefore very similar to that of countries like Serbia, which failed to excise the hard-right war criminals and their enablers from government and public life, and even rehabilitated them. After a period of lying dormant, those officials, having changed nothing meaningful about their political beliefs or goals, gradually reentered the political arena to wield power and influence in government and media under a different leader."

Gentlemen, gentlemen.  Are we forgetting the NATO meeting where Lord Trump finally put the vile Montenegro...uh.  Montenegran?  Ese?  Oes?

...Finally put "those" people in their place?

I seem to recall Dan Coates essentially saying that Trump's foreign policy was a disaster.  And someone needs to provide an update about those bounties.

So i read it.  It was dumb.  His 'accomplishments' seem to be putting America first by re-establishing US by giving up power to China at the UN and weakening NATO, ceding US international power and authority to other countries by withdrawing from international agreements, deciding China is a threat and that Russia is a threat too, and tough guy Donny totally was tough by sending lethal aid to Ukraine, albeit with restrictions that made them useless. And finally he canceled the Iran nuclear deal in favor of nothing, increasing dramatically the motive for Iran to develop nukes.

These are what John Woo, a law professor considers compelling arguments.   It leads me to believe that UC Berkeley law school is a joke.  What sort of law school professor would write such weak ass nonsense?   It just goes to show that you can have a great career being an incompetent lawyer, if your a conservative.  They always value party loyalty over all else.

I sure did hate the decent treatment I used to get traveling abroad. I was really hoping to see how the other half lives.

Maybe I will someday in the future when other countries start letting the surviving Americans in at all.

You can have any undergraduate degree you feel like and still make it into law school.  Lawyers know about lawyering.  In Woo's case not even that.

Maybe the gerbil can teach Trump how to speak fluent English.

Because currently he sounds like a meth'd up schizophrenic in the early stages of recovering from a severe brain injury to the Broca's area.

And also you're hammered drunk.

What a weird article. He goes after scribing a doctrine, and I guess a doctorine is a doctorine, and you believe in it or you don't. I mean, I don't see any actual evidence of a specific doctrine being in play, but whatever, I guess I can kind of see what he's saying there even if I think it's kind of... Dumb.

But then the listed examples ... They're just right wing talking points filled with falsity. Isn't this man supposed to be something of an intellectual or something? Somebody who actually should possess some level of critical thinking capacity? Parroting the point about giving Iran money... It's demonstrably false and misleading.

On the other hand, I guess assuming any kind of intellectual and academic integrity from Trump supporters is too much to ask. I think it's very reasonable that he recognizes some of these points are misleading, and he makes them anyway because he's trying to convince people while sounding smart.

And it just comes off as so dumb.

Pretty much, yeah.  His successes are withdrawing from treaties that either have no effective force against us (Paris Accords) or gave us international political power over others (Iran nuclear deal, Russia nuclear deal).  Then he brings up Russia sanctions, which was Congress and not Trump, and which he nixed if I recall correctly.

2020-08-11 8:12:40 PM
All the things Yoo thinks Trump COULD do, would require our allies to respect us and work with us; our enemies to fear us and work with us; and both groups to believe in America as an iron fist in a velvet glove.

Nothing Trump has done these past three years has given our foes or allies reason to do any of that. He's Putin's toothless biatch and they all know it.

Breaking treaties, alienating allies, and making the US passport worth less than the paper it is printed on.
