I'd be very interested to see whoever wrote this announce which cases are being "publicized" prior to decisions being announced for the next few years, and see how their theory holds up.

Well, yeah.

Roberts's first concern is maintaining his own power which requires the court having a half decent reputation. When that is secure, he votes his conscience like anyone else.

Him trying to maintain the reputation of the court is a healthy behavior for democracy. Just don't take go overreacting and thinking he's changed who he is.

This was a stupid piece, even stupider when you consider the resume of the writer.  Dude, with that experience how do you get so much farking wrong/have zero idea what the hell you are talking about.
