Is this going to be like seasonal beers now?  Where Oktoberfest is sold out by Labor Day, and winter ales are gone by December 15, and summer wheats aren't available after July 4th?

I don't know, but I'm sitting here ordering Halloween candles because I want to make sure they get delivered in time for the season. And the two main stores I usually buy from had pre-order sales in late July that I missed. Now they're sold out until they get restocked. Evidently people are way more on top of their Halloween candle game than I am.

Halloween candles?  Like ones shaped like skulls or just fall scented?  How are they sold out already?

Sweet.

We make public health decisions based on "I have to spend an extra few hours a day now with my perfect children so fark it, reopen the schools."

Now we will make them based on "I bought all this Halloween candy. What am I supposed to do with it? End social distancing and let strangers breathe on the kids."

Because white American suburbanites make the best public health decisions.

Sorry for coming back so late. I like to order from Witch City Wicks in Salem, and from Burk and Hare. But I also have a couple of Etsy stores I like, so I ordered from there. I always look for candles with cool graphic design on the labels, and some creative copy in the description. Honestly, most Halloween candles smell similar, but I like it when somebody put a little creativity into the design and the writing. During the Halloween season (the most wonderful time of the year), I like to have a candle option in every room. Yesterday I ordered the Mary Shelley candle and the Black Death candle from this store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/WertherAndGray

Not my post below, but I appreciate the sentiment. I plan to decorate the yard as usual. More people are walking daily in my neighborhood than ever. And I will probably put some little bags of pre-wrapped candy out at the curb for any kiddos.
