What would have happened if Obama had done this?

He's trying so hard to get out of this Presidency but Mike and Mitch just refuse to help him.

I haven't been to Wikipedia lately, and I'm sure Conservapedia looks like the Space Jam site by now, but has anyone gone in to edit how the Second World War ended in 1917 due to the Spanish Flu yet?

He was off by one.

The next question should have been "how could you get that so wrong?"

Everyone in the room should agree to hit him with corrections immediately.

Oh, he wants to stay forever because he's the smartest. He just knows he can say whatever bullshiat he wants and still win.

And, then there was that pandemic that caused Nixon and Watergate.  Remember that?  Also, the pandemic that caused Lee Harvey Oswald to shoot Abraham Lincoln.  That was my favorite pandemic.

C'mon people...would such fundamentally wrong information be stated by a stable genius?

They'd have been shouting it at the top of their lungs in all fifty-seven states.

He's been memorizing facts again.
Person.
Man.
Woman.
WWII.
1917.

Clearly, Barry needs to stop handing the keys to the time masheen to anyone who gives him a good sob story.  The timelines are in horrible disrepair about now.

I believe that the dummies' defense of this is that at least he knows how many states there are and loves all of them.

Old school programmers get off-by-one errors because they start counting at zero. But zero's not good enough for Trump, zero is a nobody that a lot of people are saying is fake and failing with bad ratings anyway, so Trump starts counting at two.

The Spanish Flu didn't end the First World War either. Germany finally gave up.

Accept the nomination at Gettysburg? Who gets to tell him who won that battle (rather, tell him who lost it)?

They would still be talking about it and using it as an example. With Trump it is just another day.

Saying 2 instead of 1 is an easy slip of the tongue and doesn't bother me, what does bother me, is saying the flu stopped WW1.  Which is wrong on so many levels.

thurstonxhowell: I believe that the dummies' defense of this is that at least he knows how many states there are and loves all of them.

Thing is, with Obama, you really knew it just came out wrong. Of course he knows there are 50 states.

With Trump, it may have just come out wrong. But though they won't acknowledge it, even conservatives know deep down that Trump might actually be that clueless about historical chronology. That that is a genuinely plausible explanation for this, in a way that Obama not knowing how many states there are just wasn't for him.

We really don't know which one it is with Trump. And at this point, I see no reason to give him the benefit of the doubt.

And now 63 million dumbfarks will argue to the death that the flu ended WW1 in 1917.

The president tweeted earlier in the day that he would consider hosting his presidential nomination acceptance speech on the site of the July 1863 Battle of Gettysburg.

Gettysburg was made famous, of course, when Union and Confederate troops joined forces to fight off the invading alien hordes of Kepler-69c.

It's like the country is being run by Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne who are trying to run a mafia operation.

Yeah, but he said 1917 instead of 1918 once, so now all Trumpers have to say it happened in 1917.

People mock what they don't understand. History will prove Trump correct as the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic prevented the 2042 Third World War. Remember Trump has Obama's time machine
