Yep.  Get ready for flu season too.  Now you'll have a coroner fight over what was the cause of death, was it:

A) COVID by itself
B) COVID + Flu which already kills people by a similar pneumonia mechanism
C) Flu + COVID where you die from the flu but just have COVID for fun
D) Flu by itself, which still kills a ton of people every year (including kids) and just not even test for COVID because you live in the South and Football takes precedence

Flu season probably won't be all that bad. All the mask wearing, hand washing, and disinfecting will likely severely limit the spread of the flu virus.

That's why I'm arming up, so that I can find the ones who are hoarding gold and freeze-dried food.

You might remember sites that tell constant lies claimed that doctors said this.

That is completely different. Maybe, someday you will understand this difference. But I doubt it.

Lol, you people are really something, every station has doctors on staff and everyone said it was possible.

seapig: That was obvious to anyone who paid attention and realized that Iran was getting ravaged by it. If the heat of Persia didn't kill it off, why did anyone think a Midwestern summer was going to do it?

Tehran is up in the mountains though, it's just basically Colorado Springs with a different flavor of religious nut job.

Just be patient -- the plague mostly disappeared on its own after it killed off somewhere between 30% and 60% of the population of medieval Europe too.  One day it was just gone, like magic.

I wouldn't buy that the virus couldn't survive freezing weather either but it's at least a little more plausible than heat.

That's not exactly true!  The south has approximately 1-2 weeks of winter spread out over a 3 month period where temperatures dip from the 70's and 80's to 30's and 40's.  It even SNOWED a couple of years ago in one of the states... I cant remember which BUT SNOW!

"The Thing" had the right idea. If someone is suspected of having the virus, just blast them with a flame thrower. That'll kill it.

Luckily, it is likely also true that the same measures which have fairly significantly slowed the spread of an insanely contagious disease (covid) will hugely impede the spread of a much less contagious one, influenza, which spreads via the exact same mechanisms.

Sure kid. You went all over the country. Polling the doctors and staff at all these "stations". And vetting them to make sure they have had advanced classes in virology. Then you got a significant majority to say it would be true. Sure you did.
Or you just pulled something out of your magical information hole to make an argument with.

Narrator: It's the second one :)
