This will be a preview for November. Stand firm with democracies the world over against the whims of pathetic wannabe tyrants and the tiny-handed charlatan that follows their every move

This could be us in November. Solidarity.

Oh wait, I've seen this play before.

This is how Ukraine got carved into pieces and used as the practice shooting gallery for Russian GRU assassins and mercenary wannabes.

Dude's been in power for 26 years already...as President, IIRC.   I have a lot of questions, I'm afraid I don't know much about Belarus, other than former USSR.

This is really beginning to rhyme with Ukraine.

Yup. I wonder if Paul Manafort has been called in to tell Lushenko to use snipers.

he has, and he's been far more blatant in his corruption of late. Couple that with his on-again/off-again thing with Putin.

The people are just fed up and were looking for real change in this election. Lushenko may have gotten away with it if he didn't go heavy-handed election rigging right at the close of polls (the power grid and internet were mysteriously shut off as soon as polls closed)

Considering Belarus has the highest alcohol consumption per capita in the world, we Farkers have been in solidarity with them for a long time.

Will this be mentioned at the imminent "press conference" (read: bluster/whine fest).  He may even hope so as he probably is a big fan of Bela Rus.  All those scary vampire moving pictures.
For the rest of us.......all power and strength to the people of Belarus.

And guess who was at the heart of all that?

Paul Manafort.

There are 5 areas in Minsk with over a thousand of protesters in each. People are dispersed, but so are the police. Here is Nemiga:

The voices on this video are speculating whether these forces in #Belarus are from Russia. One thinks he saw Russian insignias. (Just translating, not confirming or denying.) https://t.co/caX8410WRz

Ooohhh yeah! That is a great idea. Invade a sovereign nation to "help" with their political process. What could possibly go wrong? Would you like Russia to do the same here?

I've seen poll workers carrying out bags of ballots.  Don't you hate it when you over stuff the ballot.

So how long until we see the very same voices who condemned BLM protests cheering for these, just like they cheered for the Hong Kong protests?

/All of the protests against authoritarianism, at all levels, are valid, because authoritarianism is a world-wide problem.

Immediately because the God Emperor's minions have already said they stand with the protesters. Which they will, until they don't, because reasons.

Lukashenko should really pay attention to what happened to Muammar al-Gaddafi, or Saddam Hussein, or pretty much every petty dictator who pushed it too far for too long. The usual ending is bloody and painful for the dictator.
