Watch.
It's pretty good.

2020-08-10 4:00:40 PM
Still working on Season 1.  Just the finale to go!

Wish it moved a little quicker, but enjoying it nonetheless.  Will end up doing Season 2.  But that's not saying much - I'm the sort that will read even the worst books to the end.

We enjoyed it.

2020-08-10 4:03:35 PM
Watch.  So far, into episode 4 and it's not bad (I like it better than season one, so far).  First episode season 2 is really strong.

2020-08-10 4:03:57 PM
I watched it. It was good.

Watch. We killed it in two days and it was delightful.

2020-08-10 4:07:10 PM
It's pretty predictable; I guessed the big reveals at the end of season one right from the beginning.  But it's a damn fun ride, and the cast is excellent.

My wife and I tore through it. Lots of fun.

2020-08-10 4:11:53 PM
Watch.  Very good ending,

Watch.
Both seasons bonus fun for those familiar with Toronto and surrounding area, picking out locations.

Oh yeah. I enjoyed the first season soundtrack, this season was even better.

I wasn't initially impressed with Tom Hopper.  But then I realized it was because Luther was kind of a drip in the beginning.  Probably the same bind James Marsden was in when playing Cyclops.

It was good.  Worth watching.

Season two is better than season 1.

Really, though, you should not watch them separately... season 1 and 2 are both pretty good parts of a mobius strip.

I was on the fence after Season 1 did not totally grab me. Season 2 is better, resolves some big open arcs from Season 1, opens some "WTF?" questions of its own, and the ending is definitely a great setup for Season 3

Best thing streaming in a long time. I even loved the goldfish head man.

Could not get into it.

It's entertaining-ish. It's a "watch in the background" show.

I read a review of season 2 online, and it compared the plot/writing to a game of "Calvinball". Which is accurate. The show breaks its own rules constantly, you never know what is going to happen, and none of it makes any kind of sense. Which is really, REALLY tiresome. But the show has enough style and good characters that it all *almost* works anyway. Almost.

The second season was definitely an improvement over the first, as far as pacing. The first season was about twice as long as it needed to be. The second season has a couple of filler episodes, but it never feels like a slog.

That is because of all the boots to the head.

It's great, but very much a character-driven show.  If you don't care about the characters, you probably won't get into it.

Watch, on episode 5 now and it has been fun. The roommate is on season 1.

2020-08-10 6:17:04 PM
I bailed halfway through S1 because it was one long daddy-issues pout. S2 was MUCH better and a lot more fun.

Good or bad, I have ZERO interest getting into any Netflix show.  I know they're going to cancel it after 2 seasons, so what's the point?

If a show has a big following and it somehow gets a decently long run, I'll check it out after the fact.  Other than that, no.

Yeah, they only character I remotely liked was Klaus & that was after he changed.  The rest were mostly unlikable or annoying.  Story was nothing original & pretty predictable.

Not really sure why it gets the love but it's mainly a meh from me.

I only made it through 2 episodes of season 1.  Every single character was an insufferable asshole and I don't find that enjoyable to watch.  So the question for me is whether or not season 2 is amazing enough to suffer through the rest of season 1 first.

PG-13, "The Boys."

Totally recommend.   As soon Mrs Binsmokin and I finish S3 of Future man this show is next .

Watch it - Its a fun time waster, but its fairly forgettable.

Finished Season 2 on Saturday. Lots of fun. Would recommend.

Yep, now I want season 3!

Loved both seasons. The cliffhanger setting up season 3 was great

It got a big meh from me and it should be right up my alley. Then again I guess I was hoping for a live action Venture Bros

Aidan Gallagher is pretty fantastic at playing an old man for a 16-year-old.

Season 2 is better than season one but this whole show Is an absolute mess, I really want to like it the characters all seem good the actors seemed to do well but the story is just an absolute cluster and the character's motivations never seemed to make any sense

What else have you got to do? It was pretty fun.

Watch.
Has more fun with the group than the too often dour season one.

2020-08-10 8:00:11 PM
Watch.  The script is significantly tighter.   They gave Ellen Page some material worthy of her chops.  I spent less time muttering "Dammit Luther" at the screen (although minor spoiler, I did utter a few "Dammit, Diego"s)

And the kid that plays 5 is still great.

British series seem do do fine with a limited life span, though I understand that it sucks when a series gets cancelled without resolving plots. "The Office - UK Version" had only two seasons, with six episodes per season.* I thought it was a lot better than the American version eventually just padding things out during the final years.

*I realise there are the Christmas episodes as well.

Season 2 has a LOT better pacing than Season 1. It's just a lot more fun overall, much less emo.

One of my favorite momentS is the montage to a Swedish cover of Adele.

If you've already watched every good show and film from the last 130 years, then re-watched all of them at least once, you should maybe watch it. You haven't, so... no.

/ Opinion based on S1 only, which I bailed on about 3/4 of the way through.
// Wife finished it, and watched S2 because she's that kind of person, but confirms it remained the same.
