(NFL)   Julian Edelman: 'The train keeps on moving' without Tom Brady. Of course, the train kept moving at Gare Montparnasse in 1895, so there's that   (nfl.com) divider line

An above-average QB should be able to handle the Pats' offensive signal system that relies on having spied on the opposition's playbook.  I'd be confident too.

Yeah, 11-5 and on the wrong side of a tiebreaker the last Bradyless season.

They're not going to the Super Bowl, but they'll make the playoffs.

I'm pretty skeptical that anyone is going to the playoffs this year.

The only reason they're making it out of the preseason is that they cancelled the preseason.

A quarter of their team opting out doesn't help the cause. In fact, it's inspired conspiracy theories that they are tanking for Trevor Lawrence (I dont personally buy that)

Looks like the legacy defining year for Brady gets pushed back a year.  Whether Brady wins in Tampa or the Pats win as much without him will get a huge asterisk from COVID.

Belichick's  record without Brady is farking terrible. In the VERY unlikely event that there is a 2020 season, I do not expect the Pats to win more than they lose.

Brady's legacy is fine. History will remember him as by far the most successful quarterback of all time. He turned a mediocre also-ran team into a perennial contender - often without elite players around him.

Pretty sure that was Belichick.

He's something like 55-59 without Brady, including his years in Cleveland. It's not good, but not farking terrible. Just bad.

And I'm guessing he's a better coach with better support from ownership than was the case 25 years ago in Cleveland.

But I don't expect any games this year so we'll have to wait to find out.

What has Belichick done in his career without Brady?

He went to three Super Bowls (won 2) as a DC/Assistant Head Coach, turned the Cleveland Browns into a playoff team before the owner skipped town and fired him, has one losing season in New England (1st year), and has since gone 14-6 in games without Brady.

That's interesting.  I never read your posts with a Bostonian accent before.
