If I were a player I'd throw the baseball to a fan(cardboard cut out) heading into the dugout at the end of the inning.

With the number of teams reduced, the NHL needs to start having a bit more fun with their in-rink setups. They should allow teams to auction or raffle off for charity the opportunity to have your picture printed onto a cardboard cutout and placed along the boards. More prominent places should charge more.

I saw this yesterday. It was good and silly. Now that the round robin is over, the games will get serious on the ice.
