That's nice, Stimpy. Something came out of your butt.

If my state was doing relatively well with COVID, as Ohio is, and I had the Dotard coming to town and I would HAVE TO attend to his stupidity, I might somehow get a positive test at first too.

When will he say that he dosed Hydroxychloroquine after the positive test and it cured him?

He can still die. It's ok with me

Isn't it convenient that he tested positive when he was supposed to meet Trump, but then negative when Trump had left?

It must be nice being one of the important people who can get easy and fast access to testing.

I wonder if the first result was a false positive or if the second result was a false negative.  Either way, brace yourself for the next few days to be filled with people who don't understand false positives/negatives declaring this one incident proves testing is useless and/or that Covid is fake.

False positives are very rare, if he's using the quick machine.

False negatives are not.

Glad this is DeFinitive proof that he's not sick.

It reminds me a bit of James Bond...Except instead of "No's" and "Yes" it's "Positives" and "Negative."

No, he is. Remember he's the moron that pushed the heartbeat bill in Ohio, the most aggressive one in the history of the country where a woman wouldn't even know she was pregnant before she was banned from having an abortion and had zero allowance for rape or incest.

He's just as disgusting as every other rapepublican, he just wants to get reelected and that's all he cares about.

Yeah, it's a great excuse that many will wish they'd have thought of first, but will use successfully anyway.  Orange Foolius will be none the wiser.

My thoughts exactly.

Look here, smartypants. If you have a better idea on how to get everyone chipped, if not from a vaccine, then what?

I spoke with my internist last week.  He said up to 40% of negatives are false.

Your dog is cute, but that heartbeat bill was bullsh*t.  So die in a fire, DeWine, and then I can adopt your dog.

Was.

How much does that cost?

2020-08-07 6:24:58 AM
Most likely outcome. The rapid antibody tests are shiat with a specificity of less than 90 percent. When given to an asymptomatic individual if you get a positive result the positive predictive value is so low that you are still more likely to not have coronavirus than to have it even with the positive result.

The minute I heard he tested positive, my first thought was - I wonder if I can adopt his dog because he will be too ill to care for it. It is petty yes. But his dog is very cute.

I stopped questioning when he tested negative but you have given me reason to ask questions again. To hope. Again petty, but the dog is very cute.

I dislike DeWine quite a lot but Dolly is adorable enough to inspires very very petty thoughts.

DeWine should quarantine anyway. He needs to lead by example and show people to take positive results seriously even if they come back negative prior to the two week guidance.

=========================================

The REGULAR tests that the cleveland clinic uses have been proven to be 100% effective.  So stop with that stupid lie, jackass.

However, as is usual for government and especially republicans, instead of using the good tests that take a little while they waited until the last second and used one of those super-quick tests that come back in 15 minutes.  Those have a 15% or so failure rate.

I have conservative relatives in Ohio who absolutely hate DeWine even though he's a Republican.  In fact, DeWine's early action has made him poll higher with Democrats than Republicans.

The large increase in cases came just a couple of weeks after DeWine opened up Ohio, but my relatives refuse to believe the two have anything to do with each other.  They argue the large increase in cases must just be due to more testing.

At first, DeWine decided against making masks mandatory because of the large push back from his own party, but that wasn't good enough for COVIDiots.  They are mad because he personally wears a mask and has been begging Ohioans to wear one because it is causing people to avoid going to bars and restaurants, hurting the economy.  DeWine eventually had to make masks mandatory in public because the infection numbers kept going up and the deaths were climbing.

And recently DeWine issued a ruling that was the final straw:  cutting off alcohol sales at 10PM.

The most recent craziness I've heard out of Ohio is a warning not to get tested because getting a test will give you the virus.   And of course never get the vaccine when it comes out because it'll give you autism, and/or implant a Bill Gates location tracker.

Yep. Was it the rapid machine or the standard PCR test? The former has far more false negatives.
Did they jam the swab way up his nose or just inside his nostril? The latter has far more false negatives.

If I had a positive and then a negative I would still be quarantining from the day of the positive test. I would NOT assume that negative means everything is fine.

It doesn't help that this misinformation is being spread by state politicians.

Ohio Congressional Senate Republicans pushing a new bill to let counties opt out of public health orders because they think the state health dept. is producing "fake data" about the virus.
