Any food is breakfast food if you want it to be. If I want a Reuben for breakfast, y'all can't stop me! Breakfast Reubens! I feel the same way about wine. Dessert wine? In the morning? Yes, please!

luna1580: BUT boxed-mac-n-cheese SUCKS as a leftover. i'm NOT against wanting and eating the ol' kraft dinner when cravings/poorness/drunk thoughts call, BUT it SUCKS re-heated.

NO. You are wrong. You have atleast 2 options. Among them;

Squeeze it into a patty and fry it in bacon fat.

Toss it into tomato soup and dip your grilled cheese in it.

Also - if you are reheating you have to cover it with more cheese. And bake it in the oven at 250 or 300 for a bit instead of nuking it.

yes this, i love this. i'm a big fan of savory foods for breakfast and often have "dinner" leftovers in the AM.

BUT boxed-mac-n-cheese SUCKS as a leftover. i'm NOT against wanting and eating the ol' kraft dinner when cravings/poorness/drunk thoughts call, BUT it SUCKS re-heated.

so IF "easy-mac" or "left-over-mac" is now breakfast fare, well.....

it's EASIER to make a quick skillet egg-n-a-hole, or simple fried soft yolked egg (dropped into an old mason ring and steamed under a lid), or a microwave scramble, or just eat microwaved/skilleted/air-fried leftovers of ANYTHING BUT convenience mac-n-cheese....

yeah, article is bad. don't eat mac-n-cheese for breakfast my friends.

UNLESS you have a killer homemade one in the fridge and want to pan-fry up a crip-edged mighty-melty chunk.....

On the one hand, no. But on the other, if I add a scrambled egg and breakfast meat to it it's gonna taste like breakfast anyway, and it's really not any weirder than the leftover french fry omelettes and stuff we had growing up. I think it fails though because it's presented as just eating it as is for breakfast rather than making it transformative in some way.
