Cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and sugar, nothing fancy, but it's a good combination.

I wonder if we'll ever live in a world edgy enough to have 'blumpkin spunk' flavouring? Hopefully not.

I love pumpkin spice.  I'll admit it.  I look forward to it coming out every year.

But at the same time, when it comes out, I also know that means that summer is ending.  That gives me a sad.

So I'm am conflicted.

I think I missed the boat on the pumpkin trend dying off. Living outside the USA, I can't really get pumpkin beer in the fall, so any time I have the chance I go crazy on it. Apparently in USA people don't actually drink much of it any more, so it's actually getting hard to find. Fools! You don't know what you have until it's gone!

I don't get the hate, it's like complaining about candycane and eggnog flavored things around Christmas. Embrace the spice.

I sort of understand it when seeing some the shiat that gets the pumpkin spice treatment. It's way beyond anything you see with those Christmas flavors.  However, it's pretty easy to just avoid the products by simply not buying them.

Also Florence coffee in Missoula and the bitterroot offer a pumpkin latte with blended up pumpkin... the body of the coffee adds an interesting texture, but it's amazing.

^^^this. I've had several decent that were more about the actual pumpkins than the horrific perfume, and this was one of them.

trying to remember the brewery - last fall our locale had a pumpkin barleywine on tap, 12% lol. spices were a bit stronger but not offensively so, and it sort of needed it to balance the alcohol.

The perfume is not bad as an accent flavor. But for actual taste? The spice is supposed to support the pumpkin. Not make it persona non grata

yes! when the brewer is very thoughtful and mindful just like they would be with any of their other productions. and uses actual spices instead of chemicals. (whereas $mai_waifu only loves the ones that smell like a candle and taste like drinking a candle *shudders*)

still trying to dredge up a memory of that strong ale or whatever it was. I remember they had an Evil Genius chocolate pumpkin porter on draft last year, which was nice enough, but that wasn't it.

the tap definitely had some creepy halloween motif, and, lol, they had it well into December and January - because for whatever reason, no one would order it. maybe it wasn't candle-y enough? which was fine with me, because several of our friendly bartenders wanted to be done with it - they were only supposed to serve it in an 8oz goblet but instead would pour pints for me and charge the same price lol. for months! yay!

from September last year. I had a tiny bite of "pumpkin" and it was every bit as horrific as $mai_waifu enjoyed it to be! my apple pie one was kinda-sorta "meh" but edible-enough, although the "waffle bowls" were as petrified-something-or-other.

just out of view on the right is a convenience what basicamente only sells:
- booze
- lottery
- fried seafood (scary, I know. but surprisingly good!)

/prolly shoulda gone for the cinnabon

One time in April I found "Holiday Nog" in the dairy section. It was maybe a week before easter. I laughed with joy. I love pumpkin spice and nogs and buy it all up, usually at the end of the season when it's half off.
