THEY?!

2020-08-05 11:21:22 AM
Well we could help solve that by raising taxes on the wealthy, cutting funding for the military and police departments around the country. We could use our debt wisely and build up our infrastructure so that it pays us back many fold in the future. Hell, we should be going nuts running internet lines all over the country, wiring up any and all domiciles, no matter the occupants and sending laptops or tablets to every child that is registered in public school.

Imagine the return on investment that will bring in the future. Oh wait. They only care about the next quarter and their pocketbooks. F the rest of the nation.

Holy shiat, the balls on these motherfarkers. THEY are the ones who blew up the deficit. THEY are the ones who are spending wildly without paying for it.

Vote them ALL out. Burn their party to the ground, scatter the ashes and salt the farking earth.

Government debt is NOT the same as personal or business debt. If republicans had a farking clue on how properly functioning government works they would understand.

We have the same problem with Conservative governments in Canada. They run huge deficits, they complain when the Liberals get in and raise taxes to reduce that deficit. Hypocrites.

Translation: "We know taxes will have to go up for the people and companies who actually have all the money and therefore we are suddenly very concerned about the deficit."

What evidence is there that any republican is interested in facts?

2020-08-05 11:54:08 AM
Republicans are absolutely shameless.

It's unfortunate, but we need the Democrats to take the national debt seriously. Because if they don't... nobody will.

2020-08-05 11:54:15 AM
You're right, the debt is important. So let's cut all those tax breaks for billionaires and add a wealth tax on top of that, so those greedy useless f*cks can start earning their keep. Hook 'em up to America's fiscal machinery and milk them like farm animals. They've got more money than anyone could spend in a lifetime, so let's dump their bank accounts back out into the economy where those dollars can do some good.

We'll not only eliminate the debt, but have enough left over to give UBI and free healthcare to every American.

No problem, we will, by drastically raising taxes on the rich and giant corporations.

How's that tax reform doing for our deficit AND debt you farkheaded piece of shiat? Oh right, a trillion dollar deficit doesn't MATTER until the president is a Democrat does it?

If that was chronological, you can see where the Democrats REDUCED debt.

Don't forget healthcare.  That would allow many more able-bodied people to enter the workforce.  It would also put a large dent in homelessness.  I don't know if it would exactly be in the black, but that isn't the point.  It would, however, improve things greatly.

It is Sorta kinda like a business issuing stocks. Half of the board generally doesn't freak out when talking about issuing new stocks when its needed for emergency funding, especially when the long term outlook for the company is great. Generally that money is used for expanding infrastructure, etc. Right now half the board is in vulture mode and trying to rip it into shreds to sell it off in pieces.  Customers? Who need customers when we are trying to sell of the pieces. //Sorry got on a rant there.

Dear Rick Scott,

You and your party can't claim fiscal responsibility. Not now. Not ever.

2020-08-05 12:02:08 PM
Remember, individual debt is an asset to the corporate owner because they can buy and sell it and make profit off of it.

So if you do anything to help individuals pay off debt or avoid it in the first place, that's taking money out of the pockets of the rent-seeking class.

Then man and god must approve. Everything is fine.

It's a worldwide pandemic emergency.  The size of the federal debt is a theoretical problem that is mostly a non-problem, due to the fact the US dollar is the world's Reserve Currency (the main problem with a high debt, high inflation, simply isn't happening as inflation has been quite low for decades), but direct and indirect fallout from the emergency is being felt by every American.

Did you care about the people in your hospitals when you defrauded Medicare of 300 million dollars? Or when your hospitals were levied with 300 million dollars in fraud and you wanted to fight the allegations? Or when called on to testify why all these fraud charges you plead the fifth 75 times to cover your ass did you care about the deficit in Medicare spending then?

You are so slimey you leave snail trails.

2020-08-05 12:08:50 PM

anjin-san: Democrats to take the national debt seriously.

Why?  Because the US dollar is the world's Reserve Currency, there's a lot of artificial demand for the dollar, which tamps down the main negative of a large debt, high inflation.  Inflation is low and has been for several decades now.

He said it in front of several flags with fringe.  That means something!
