I can't tell if it's deliberate or another manifestation of his deeply flawed psychology and inability to maintain a consistent train of thought (as well as stupidity, given that he's covering up that he knows nothing).

"Always with the COVID this and the pandemic that! When are we going to talk about something interesting? Like me? Banging supermodels that I totally didn't pay or buy stuff for! Yeah! How about that explosion in Beruit? Bad guys! Everywhere! Going to eat your children! This disease thing is played out. Low energy. Old news. Fake news! LET'S GO RIDE BIKES!"

"It is what it is"

About 1000 Americans dying a day.

Those words will be remembered for a long time.

If the conversation isn't about him and what a smart boy he is, he gets all grumpy and fussy and fidgety and can't pay attention.

Like the old crazy drunk uncle who wonders why no one appreciates the great victories he never actually had in the distant past.

Using a Covid task force meeting to, say, decide to equip door to door census takers with copies of his electoral victory map is exactly what I'd expect of this White House.

tif? What, do you have the storage required in your budget this year?!

The republicans care about making the pandemic worse because they benefit from low turnout elections. Yes that's right, they're trying to kill off as many voters as possible.

On the one hand, an impartial media outlet probably shouldn't resort to tweets like that.

On the other hand...

The window for Trump's necessary grasp of this pandemic reality is very small and closing. I give it about ten days.  Already his memory has deteriorated.  He can barely remember his children.  Apart from the times he forgets entirely and wants to date her, he only remembers  Ivanka as his daughter, and Don Jr, on occasion.  It's not like the old days when he purposely forgot he was married.  He barely remembers he's president and that pesky oath he took.

"Trump still not grasping the severity of the pandemic"

It's hard to believe that someone who hasn't grasped that a comb-over isn't a full head of hair and who hasn't grasped that caked-on of bronzer isn't a tan hasn't grasped that incoherent lies haven't eradicated COVID...

2020-08-05 12:31:04 PM
In his mind, or what's left of it, COVID is over because he said it was. Why do people keep talking about it? Its over!

It's his psychology. He runs away from anything remotely difficult or challenging.

Well lets see this "manual" and the "book" we've heard so much about.

It's because no one is asking important and relevant questions, like "Just how bigly are your TV ratings with these phenomenal meetings?" and "Can you believe that Sleepy Joe, isn't he just totally a Hoax?"

No, no, no!

That's what got us here in the first place, supposed "liberal media" refusing to call a lie a fu*king lie!

Impartial/Objective isn't just telling people what both sides are saying, it's telling the truth!

The truth is what they are supposed to be telling people.

If the R's say it's raining outside and the D's say it isn't raining, THE PROPER ROLE OF JOURNALISM IS TO LOOK OUTSIDE AND REPORT THE TRUTH, not just report that "there's a controversy over the weather"!
