Let's just hope that the ads are as brutally honest as anything produced by The Lincoln Project.  Pull no punches.  It isn't enough that Trump be defeated.  Everything about Trump and his sycophants in the GOP need to be destroyed.

Farking Clown Shoes: Just wait until that billion Bloomberg promised shows up.

I dunno, The Lincoln Project is pretty much doing the job already, and they're making Donnie buy up ads in DC just so that he can self soothe.

/For the record, Donnie: you'll never carry DC in the election.

2020-08-05 8:55:28 AM
Trump didn't pay for ads in 2016. The media and Super-PACs did all the advertising for him.

Maybe Trump needs to stop funneling all his campaign money to his family and his hotels... just a thought

All the ads should be Trump's own words.

"I said to my people SLOW THE TESTING DOWN PLEASE"
"I take no responsibility"
"It is what it is"
"It will go away with the heat....in April"
"It's one guy coming in from China"
"It's 15 cases, soon to be down to zero cases"
etc etc etc

Democrats aren't allowed to play mean like Republicans are.

// remember when Hillary suggested that a whole lot of Trump's supporters believe some deplorable things?
// and how, in the 4 years since, they've done nothing but prove her right (if anything, her estimate of ~50% deplorable incidence was too low) and whine about how mean a thing it was to say?

In a sane logical world, Biden wouldn't even have to raise money to defeat trump. Trump is doing a beautiful job beating the crap out of himself.

It doesn't matter how much money you spend advertising for dog food if the dogs don't wanna eat it no one is going to buy it.

I haven't seen a remotely effective Trump campaign ad in a year they're all just replays of the greatest hits from 2016 but the world is different now. And Hillary Clinton is no longer running against him.

I think it's actually more important for Democrats to financially support Senate candidates because Biden is definitely going to win

I think we need to support both, because there are no guarantees in politics. Plus, if we get more voters to the polls to vote for Uncle Joe, then statistically the Democratic Party Senate candidates will do better in their races.

So farking what? If double the money doesn't turn into more votes then it's just another pointless comparison. Oh yay, this guy is better at separating people from their money. Whoop-de-farking-do.

If it were a case of the guy with more money were guaranteed to win, I'd give a fark. Otherwise it just feels like sports.

So, Trump hasn't put in any of his money, or any of his tax payer golf money yet.

I guess Russia is also not pitching in more as Trump did not fulfill his promise to Putin of ending sanctions.

Well, the advertising fund was a slush fund for money laundering, so... they could not spend THAT money, then or now.
I mean, have you seen what the Russian Mafia does to people who mess with their monies?

I've seen a Trump ad in a mobile game.

When the President of the United States is putting himself on the same level as a USB ear wax removal system, you really begin to understand his marketing genius, and his record of business success.

I don't want Trumplethinskin to lose by a small number... I want him to lose in the bigliest (popular & electoral vote) shellacking in modern history. I want him to be crushed so badly that people point and laugh when they see him talking lying. I want "getting Trumped" to mean having your arse handed to you so badly in an election, you look like a joke candidate that somehow made it to the actual election, despite being crazy.

Let Biden spend the big bucks on the high brow ads with the intelligent soft attacks.

Leave the hard hitting sucker punches to the Lincoln Project.

It's (almost) the exact opposite strategy as Trump, except no outside group is running high brow intelligent ads attacking Biden.

I'm still very worried about how stupid people are.  The ghost of Bernie Sanders or I'm-not-voting is still possessing a few friends.  Apparently, there is a video going around implying Joe Biden is a child molester because he sometimes touches children standing in front of him on their shoulders when posing for pictures.

Hillary didn't understand their dig-in-their-heels psychology.  And The Lincoln Project does understand Trump's psychology.

She could have won a fair number of them over if she'd just cast it like this:

"We all have dark spots inside us, we all succumb to temptation, we all sin.  I taught Sunday school for many years, I know that I've sinned, and I tried to help my students to be better Christians.  I want to inspire Americans to overcome those personal demons, to aspire to do great things, to care for our neighbors.  I know that anyone can make mistakes, seek forgiveness, and become a better person.  My opponent doesn't want that - he wants Americans to indulge those urges; to be spiteful, and jealous, and cruel.  That's the difference between us."

He doesn't have to.

Biden takes the high road, remains presidential, and doesn't play his game & roll in the muck with Trump. Biden is the upbeat happy warrior and palatable alternative for moderates and anti-Trump republicans, pointing toward a better 2021.

The rest of us go completely ruthless on that motherfarker.

Biden has more money to spend on the campaign in part because Trump has been illegally siphoning off so much of his own campaign funds into his own pocket.

Well, yeah. You ever seen what the economy does under Democrats vs. how it does under Republicans?

We could ask the coal miners what they'd like, but I grew up in Eastern Kentucky. Trust me, that's really not a group you want to allow to make long term decisions. Probably better to go with the people who've got money.
