If you get caught doing this, the FAA will have a field day with you.

Say if it was knocked out of the sky and recovered, is there a way to find out who it belongs to?

I think they must be registered with the FAA depending on size. I think

The very smallest don't have to be registered.

That is definitely a Mavic model, and it is not the Mini which is juuuuust under the minimum weight. (I picked up a Mini a month-ish ago to start up with the hobby. My latest video is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGVtKJb7DKU ) That means that this drone, if the pilot is legal, is required to have its registration number on it. I wonder if any of those hi-def cameras would have picked it up.

Of course, a pilot who ignores the regulation against flying over an active sporting event would likely ignore those basic regulations.

I have a lot of disregard for the government in general (especially right now) but you do NOT fark with the FAA.

(Looks like the DJI Mavic Air 2, which weighs 570g, well over the 250g limit which requires you to register the device with the FAA. The Mini is intentionally 249g.)
