Funny thing I live in that area of Pennsylvania dubbed the snackfood Capitol of the world. So many pretzel factories within a tiny area . UTZ(yes they do make pretzels, ), Snyder's of Hanover, Revonah,Weggies, and  National Pretzel(private label company ).  Mom works for national and as a child she would bring home tons of samples of different kinds of products. Didn't take long for me to get sick of them.

Pretzels are okay but I'm not a huge fan.
The thing I really hated was the "PRETZEL BUN ALL THE SANDWICHES!" fad. I'm glad that seems to be over.

kind of really missing the from-scratch brezeln with smoked-Gouda sauce at one of our favorite locales - normally 5 bucks, but during happy hour every appetizer was $3-off, total steal!

but good lord, my father-in-law's favorite bigoted divebar served day-old case after day-old case of the below (won't name the brand, because I can't remember which out of the popular 2 or 3.) - for free. stale and beyond-salted (the actual bar posted this photo, but doesn't do justice to the true amount of salt) - philadelphians love this stuff! or at least the racist old white men in Mayfair / NE do.

oddly enough, pretzel-buns don't seem to be much of A Thing here - only at the same chain restaurants and fast food places that keep trying it on all across the country.
