The awareness one must have to be able to do that is incredible.

Can't imagine the number of times he failed, but damn the success looks awesome.

That's an interesting ramp setup.  It's bouncy.  Hopefully he can avoid the damage that Matt Hoffman inflicted on his body.

Something like that, you can only fail once, probably.

See the headline say to myself: "has to be R Willy", and confirmed seconds later.

This guy is magic on a bike, and it's not even really his focus. He's a scooter rider first.

The tech for extreme sports has come a long long way, mostly due to Nitro Circus and Travis Pastrana. They have landing ramps that are rigid but inflatable so they give a lot for practice. Not to mention the giant air bags and foam pits.

R Willy might be the best freestyle BMX'er/Scooter guy working right now.

Is that hard? Don't follow this or know much about it, but he did it like 6 times in a row

Not sure which is more annoying:  "Yeaaah!" or "That's it!"  I'll watch the video a few more times to decide.
/ Awesome trick though.

Absolute  right.
I remember back in the day when a 1/2 pipe  had no transition. We just didn't know. You dropped in from the roof of the garage into a bowl of scrap.
We were making it up as we went.  we were just farken punk kids.

How far we have come.
What I find interesting  is the whole "misfit" culture of surf/skate branching out and the adaption of technology and training techniques and the concept of professionalism.

The XGamers have been using Olympic style training for almost 20 years.
Now, something as basic  as a foam pit was just unimaginable back when.
Look at what Slater, and others, have built. HOLY SHART.  It's a wet dream manifest.

We have come so far and yet we still street it.
Anything is possible and there is some little grom out there looking to the future.
