The SEALs have had far too many incidents over the last few years or so to act surprised and indignant. Chief Gallagher, canoeing peoples skulls, killing the Green Beret in Mali (might be wrong on the location?) This is what happens when you let a bunch of idiots run wild with no oversight. Right your ship Admiral.

Colin Kaepernick? Why not Michael Vick?

mr_a: Colin Kaepernick? Why not Michael Vick?

Because the point of the demonstrations of attack dogs was not irony, it was racism. Vick made dogs attack each other for his amusement, while Kaepernick was drawing attention to the fact that police in America routinely brutalize black people.

So once again this case shows it's not necessarily the sentiment that's the problem, it's the fact that there's a video.

Clearly didn't read the article. The SEAL. Commander cut ties with a non-military, civilian run organization that depicted SEALs poorly. This is not a story about actual SEALs doing anything with a Kaepernick doll.

FTFA: He added: "We will revisit our relationship with the Museum when I am convinced that they have made the necessary changes to ensure this type of behavior does not happen again."
In the letter, Green said, "While the museum is an independent non-profit organization and the participants were contracted employees from outside the DoD, in many ways, these facts are irrelevant. We have been inextricably linked to this organization that represents our history."

And I hope I don't get to a point where I think that turning dogs loose on a black guy peacefully protesting is funny.  Make no mistake, that is what was happening in the mock Koepernek display.  There were a lot of celebrities who had done dumb thing that could be used for an easy punch line that day (there are every day), but they chose the uppity negro out of all of 'em.

There are a LOT of attention whoring douches out there.  A LOT.  Heck, we elected one.  They could have picked any of them, but they opted for some Selma Alabama cosplay.  They are bad people and they need to be called out on it.

That's basically the problem with the quiet racism right there.

You can think anything you like. Sure. And you get to say what you like. But once you advocate or condone violence against someone who is now a minority figure who is a visible front for anti racism (specifically anti cop murdering Black people), your complaints against that person's perceived ambient douchebaggery will largely be ignored (rightfully) and the assumption will be that you're ok with racist farks setting dogs on a public Black figure. You may not like Colin as a human, I don't know you or him, but any criticism of him for basic AWing is going to be seen through the lens of oppression and racism by anyone paying attention.

It becomes same as nooses and effigies basically. It's now a political statement cause like it or not, he went out on the line literally on his knees while the whole white Republican world took a shiat on him from the president on down. He's a public face of BLM.

Yeah. I love dogs. I won't keep one, but I like other people's dogs. I hate this shiat. War dogs, war horses. We should've outgrown this shiat by now.

Also, remember there's a position far far to the left of our radical notion that kept animals should never experience or train to violence:

Also pointing out the cop in the pic isn't dressed for war with black people. He's wearing what we'd expect a cop to wear. Not trying to hide identity. No shooting him in the face from across the street. Got his badge number on his badge. No trying to hide accountability for harming others. Now that it's wrong to beat up protesters, we gotta cover the cops faces so they can't get charged later. Which cop was it again who did this/ Shrugs shoulders. Can't identify, can't be held accountable.

The people laughing in that video aren't SEALs. More importantly, the performers in that video aren't SEALs. The people in that video are mouth-breathing museum goers watching SEAL LARPers behaving like a**holes. The Navy shut it down. The SEAL Commander shut it down. Are there bad SEALs?
