You see that bridge? He built that bridge.  But do they call him "McGregor the Bridge Builder?" No, they do not..

I mean, I would send a nazi to be the German ambassador, but I would be an asshole making a bad joke. I don't even want to know, what Trump is thinking.

MacGregor's world has zero warm fuzzies.

Zero.

No one who speaks German can be an evil man.

Basically if you wish to have what-use-to-be a well respected influential job in the US government all you have to do is either give tRump lots of money or regularly appear on Fox.

"There's sort of a sick mentality that says that generations after generations must atone sins of what happened in 13 years of German history and ignore the other 1,500 years of Germany."

You mean all those other centuries of pogroms? I agree. It would be a sin to forget Germany's centuries-long hatred and murder of Jews and other undesirables.

Yeah, no sh*t.  It's not like Poland.

I'm sure he has a Final Solution for the problem.

I'm so glad the swamp is totally drained now. BWAHAHA

Let me guess he blew 100k on nights at the Gropa Cobana (Mar a Lago) maybe even had a round of gold with the great Orange Turd himself and is now sitting on a pretty position. The best people

Yeah probably.  Unless there are any blond, young females in his family, in which case someone should check on them.

This is where I'd love to see Germany go "No thanks.  Hard pass.  We won't be issuing him diplomatic papers."

Hell, if I'd giggle myself senseless if they followed that up with "Given the upcoming US Presidential elections, we don't see the point of a new ambassador at this time."

Yeah, that.  Ambassadors aren't ambassadors unless the other country receives them.  Merkel telling Col. Klink to pack sand and go home would make me laugh and laugh.

This asshole's appointment and the current ambassador to the Netherlands making a visit to Ysselsteyn cannot be coincidental.

What if they arrested him? What could Trump possibly do? They know he's weak and ineffectual. He's already withdrawing troops.

2020-08-05 12:17:35 AM
Well, his predecessor just hung out with fascists because nobody reasonable would deal with him so the nomination fits.

2020-08-05 12:27:37 AM
Hey, look. Another piece of shiat who shouldn't be anywhere near the levers of power. I guess it's time to appoint another acting head of a department that shouldn't exist to begin with.

You mean Douglas "I don't understand why I can't get promoted all I did was publish a book as a sitting officer calling every member of the promotion board a farking idiot" MacGregor? The same one who said time and time again that he wants to sell out American troops stationed in Europe to facilitate a good faith deal where Ukraine is "neutral" like Austria circa 1950's?

That farking idiot? Why am I not shocked.

Didn't Iceland send one packing? Sorry dude, you don't get a special gun permit just because you're a freaking trump nutter.

Well he can't be any worse than the last guy right?

"There's sort of a sick mentality that says that generations after generations must atone sins of what happened in 13 years of German history and ignore the other 1,500 years of Germany. And Germany played a critical role in central Europe in terms of defending the serving Western civilization. So I think that's, that's the problem," Macgregor said in 2018.

I stand corrected.

More of an envoy to the AfD than ambassador to the Bundesrepublik, I'd say.

Oh but never forget he is still the Ambassador to Iceland, but is doing it remotely from the US.

As far as I am aware he has been back in Iceland for several months. He wasn't kicked out of Iceland, he had been in the US for some reason and refused to return to Iceland until he was forced to.

Oh he went back without his gun? He did hide out in the US for awhile though.

Part of finding a turd the punch bowl is expected and not shocking.  It's a logical choice for the purpose.  Finding out who out the turd the bowl is way more interesting.

Other that wonder boy, possibly the most ignorant ever, "nominated" this fine example, who's actuality behind him getting from point A to point N?  There's always an army of lobbyists.

Minor note:
The phrase is pound sand, as in, with your boots (as one would do while walking away).
But that's certainly an option that Merkel has and would likely send a strong signal to the person who campaigned on the notion that the whole world was laughing at us, but they won't anymore.

Not sure where you learned yer colonialisms, son, but its "pack sand" as in "go fill sandbags so you are well away from me while you do some shiat job elsewhere" "round these parts.

For all intensive purposes and irregardless of the etymology, Ambassador Adolf is going to have a hard row to ho.

I learned my colonialism while in the AF, deployed with a battalion of Marines in Al Anbar Province some 13 years ago. I do like the pack sand meaning, as well.  Seems suited for telling off someone who can't go too far.
And in either case, our transnational Nazi isn't going to get much of a pleasant reception from the locals where he's headed. He might get told to frak right the hell off with his nasty ass self.
