As a former Okie for 20 years, my experience is that once a hard core OK Republican starts harassing you, the only option to get them to stop is reflecting about 110-120% of it back at them. Otherwise they'll think they have no limitations at all.

We all know in our hearts that the Bo Burnham gif guy is actually Bo Burnham, right? Maybe this headline is from Randy Rainbow.

The only way we're gonna stop this corona virus is through death.

Either the GOP idiots who keep fighting against safety measures die from it first to get out of society's way, or the constituents have to die so that the GOP loses its power base.

Whenever you're seeing people argue, remember that fact.

We're losing a decent-sized town of people per month.
Think of the nearest town to you of ~45,000 to 50,000 people. Every month at this rate.

Facts don't enter into it. most Americans now have alternative 'facts".

The reason why the US has had one of the worst responses to COVID isn't really about stupidity, certainly not on the part of the people in Washington.   Most of the GOP...Trump excepted...are NOT idiots.  For 40 years the American right have been weaving a bullshiat narrative about freedumb markets which have been crafted to convince that poor and exploited that they deserve to be poor and exploited.  For the most part it's worked quite well.  Now the people who have been pushing the economic death cult are presented with an emergency that requires reality based solutions.   This can not stand.  Advocating for an effective response to COVID would be an admission that everything they were saying up until now was, well...bullshiat.    Imagine a cult that preaches that the theory of gravity is a lib 'social construct'.   The leaders are on a plane with their constituency when all the plane's engines go out.  What to do?   Pass out parachutes?  That would be an admission that they were liars.  Better to just double down on rants about Killary and Obongo and hope the plane can glide to the airport.

As a current resident, maybe 35% of the people I see wear masks and bother with social distancing.
The Creek casino by my house could not care less about masks or social distancing either, place is packed, hardly any masks, they took away every other chair but don't care if people just move chairs anywhere they want, that place must non-stop spread the virus daily.

The fact that he sold off some of his stock after viewing a classified document regarding Covid should warrant an investigation from the SEC, if not criminal charges for insider trading.

I like the analogy, but I'd add that the Republicans in charge aren't even on the plane. They don't need to worry about parachutes, they we never at risk. But even if/when they are, they'll take precautions while obscurity that fact or somehow justifying it while insisting things are still the way they claim.

Tulsa's about to have a throwdown on Black Wall Street again. GOP is "both sidesing" the Black Lives Matter street art by wanting to have a street painted with "Back the Blue"   and the mayor and city council are too cowardly to just tell them to fark off.

Honestly, how did nothing come of that? Not to mention when he and all the other Repubs took $20,000 or less to sell our rights to big internet companies. When representatives don't represent, this is, I guess, what that looks like.

Honestly though Birx is a little bit pathetic (in the same way Trump is). I knew her worldview for the most part when she said "20 year old Millennials" need to stay home to protect everyone. She sounded like your everyday Boomer that blames anyone younger than them for everything and calls all of us Millennials without even knowing the Millennial age range. One of the main reasons I deleted Facebook was constantly seeing people like her bicker on it.

Side note: does anyone remember when the Yukon cops all got in big trouble because they were harassing that young female convenience store worker and receiving forced sexual favors, I.e. rape? That was some of the insanity of our dear state.

The mayor should simply make it part of the restaurant health inspection which is something the mayor can control.
