In the Great War, shorter mustaches came into vogue so soldiers could safely don their masks.  Perhaps it's time to shave down again.

We're drinking less milk now.  Went from 1/2 gallon to a quart and even then it usually goes bad before we use it up.  OTOH, cheese spends more time in my digestive tract than it does the fridge.

We've been buying the organic ultra-pasteurized stuff and it has a fridge life of like 6 weeks.  It is a little pricey, though.

Will have to try it.  I did get some of the shelf-stable milk for emergencies, like the daughter wants to make us a cake for no reason.

I very slowly use milk, mostly in recipes.  I'm also cheap so I buy whatever store brand by the gallon since it's cheapest by volume.  However, my milk lasts for months since I'll separate them out into smaller bottles and freeze them.  They get defrosted as needed in warm water.

I've been thinking that there should be a series of PSAs based on the "Got Milk" ads, but with some well-known people wearing masks:  "Got Masks?"

I worked as a radio ad executive back in the late 2000's and our station was cow themed (what do you expect for North eastern Vermont?).  The station was called Moo92.

This was one of my contributions to the Branding:

I got this far and facepalmed.

"Adults - no longer commuting - had time for a leisurely bowl of cereal. "

So you're an adult with more free time...and you use it to have cereal?  I wasn't aware that a) cereal was time consuming, or b) people over the age of 15 consumed cereal.

This is probably an unemployment/people taking drastic pay cuts in new jobs, thing.  Milk is cheap, calorie dense and great for fluffing up eggs which are also cheap and calorie dense and go great with rice and peas and carrots... which was my go to meal when I was making $10.50 an hour in the Midwest a number of years ago.

Um.... what?  Cereal is awesome *will be 37 in November*.  I typically grab a granola bar on my way out the door every night, would love to have the time to make a good breakfast... but I've been working 60 hours a week this year and I value the sleep more than the food.

hamazon has 6-packs of 1L UHT whole-fat that sometimes drop to literally $9.33 - whenever https://camelcamelcamel.com emails me about that low price, I'll buy like 4 cases, I think is the max spamazon will allow. still pricey, but sure is comforting to have around!
