ADT: "We heard glass breaking, we're calling the police."
Google: "Don't bother: Butterfingers John dropped a coffee cup. Again!"

Your home. The place you call sanctuary. Is now a medium security prison.

Google is taking the old "people are willing to sacrifice privacy for security" maxim a little too literally on this.

FYI, if you have adt and go to cancel, they make you wait 30 days before they'll actually cancel the service. Which you have to pay for.

/adt is overpriced

I pay for homeowner's insurance. Not gonna pay for anything more than that. I'm pretty sure the alarm companies aren't going to be reimbursing me anything if there was a break in.

They are getting a little too personal for my liking. First they bought nest so they can monitor when you're home. Then they want you to install the wiretaps, um assistants so they can monitor your conversations. I ditched my Fitbit when they bought them because I don't want them to have that data. Now they want to monitor every door and window in your house.

No thanks.
