Guy who already had an injured knee re-injures knee.  Also, subby's definition of "instant" is a little off.

Maybe his real reason for not taking a knee was that it was bothering him a few days ago and he didn't want to say anything about it.

Pressuring a black man to kneel for racial injustice is the most backwards thing I've ever heard.

You owe it to yourself to watch the 30 for 30 of that just to see Tonya Harding try to pretend she had no idea that Nancy Kerrigan was going to get her leg broken.

The fact that you learn she's illiterate is a bonus laugh.

I'm going to take the less popular approach.

So what if he didn't kneel? Unlike hypocritical right wingers, I'm not going to get all pissy about someone standing for the anthem even in the midst of the movement.

e.g. the problem with Brees' statement wasn't so much that he said that he'd continue to stand, but the whole BS about disrespecting the flag and the military.

Because not kneeling is a cosmic injustice that necessitates karmic retribution.

Black man needs to explain himself to white people as to why he's not joining in on your preferred method of protesting racial injustice

At least you can somehow delude yourself into believing that.  It is an opinion.  It's a stupid one, but it's an opinion.

This guy, as well as a handful of NFL players who've been asked about standing vs kneeling have all brought up the same exact line about how BLM is about 'marxism' (they also keep throwing in jesus into the mix as if jesus would somehow hate black people... or something.  Who knows the lame reason)  I don't know where they're getting that, but it's probably some far-right meme.

That's far stupider.  Mostly because they're stating something as fact that's just straight up a lie.

/At least we know who the far-right nut balls are, though.  So that's a plus!

I dunno; it feels like asking everyone why they choose not to allows them to promote their causes, while the actual protests, the media's like "eh, whatever" about.

A white person getting on a black person for not kneeling is in one very small example, the epitome of how do-gooders can't even see the harm they do for a cause they claim to believe in. You either care more about the cause or you care more about being seen pretending to care, one of those must take precedence over the other.

It is clown show level performative bullshiat, akin to the white BLM protester attempting to take the mic out of the hands of the black BLM protester because the black guy apparently didn't take it seriously enough but the white guy did.

A black person has the right to their own opinion, not just one people like you wish to issue to them with no alternatives provided.

It is more akin to a religion for college-educated white liberals at this point than an actual political movement trying to accomplish something.

Is the NBA going to have a big kneeling ceremony before every game? Why? The players have their nice folded towel ready so they can comfortably kneel with their pre-approved message on their backs. It's beyond ridiculous.

It's no long a protest when everybody is doing it and it's approved, endorsed and monetized by corporate.

Make sure you make a difference a vote for the same people who have been in power for decades!

This is the second time this week I have been accused of being white on Fark.  Maybe I should apply for some bank loans or something.  Anyway, what he needs to explain is what religion has to do with kneeling. Now if you excuse me I'm going to try out my new whiteness.

One of the problems is that "Marxism" is a common term in academic circles that basically means "awareness of class struggles." But when right-wingers hear it, they think Communism.
