I am Tom Joad's Complete Lack of Surprise: Patton Oswalt

I saw one of his routines on the youtubes, and "Okay, I'm glad you like a book, I really am" had my sides in a polar orbit.

@justsaysinmice - this account mentions studies that purport to be very important, and then adds "IN MICE" to let you know to ignore the study.

@Greg_Palast - reporter focused on voting shenanigans of the GOP.

Everyone else I follow is focused on anti-Trump or some topic-specific interests of mine.

chucknasty: I hate twitter and refuse to be part of it but I vicariously follow through dark since every other thread is a tweet as are 30% of posts.

I don't understand this reasoning.  Imagine a very specific news service dedicated to only stuff you are interested in.  That's Twitter.  For example if you only wanted to know what's happening in the NBA only follow NBA personalities, teams and newsfeeds.  Have a wide variety of interests, follow a large and wide variety of people.  But wait, if I follow a large and wide variety of people the stuff I really care about will be lost in the noise.  Turn on notifications for those people you really care about.  Ta da!  You now have a custom made news stream tailored to you.  But Twitter bad because the Kardashians are on it too...or something

Also, that brief look at Takei's Twitter feed was more than enough to convince me that it's better than his Facebook feed, which I unfollowed a few years ago when it became literally nothing but paid links to clickbait, with a lot of it red meat to the Tumblr crowd.

Like, if you don't get a sexual high from calling things a social construct, then that isn't a page for you.

twitter is bad because 99% of people are not concise enough to put a real thought into a limited number of words. it is mostly drivel.
