EdgeRunner: Rhymes With Silver: EdgeRunner:
No, I sinply brought up some things that have been said by many, many people, and still get repeated from time to time. I don't think you know what a strawman even is.

The reports of federal agents rolling around in unmarked vans and snatching people up is indeed disturbing, but has nothing to do with whether or not the electorial process has been compromised. If anything, it should be an encouragement to get out and vote and show that the system still works.

You said: Democrats claim Russia manipulated the 2016 election is a conspiracy theory (straw man, this has been proven). We also claim trump is committing treason (straw man) by casting doubt on a portion of the election process. Then you said Democrats can't have it both ways. I originally addressed this. It's one and the same.

You responded to my point with Whatabout. Your next post included the words Weiner, Comey, and "Hillary's endless mail scandal".  I responded to your non serious post with a bit of snark. You respond with many people are saying...This isn't a serious conversation we are having. I have a feeling you'll respond one more time because you strike me as someone intent on getting the last word. It's a risk I'm willing to take. Good day to you sir or madman.

You're right, it's not a serious conversation because you've made no effort whatsoever to follow what I'm saying. You were triggered by phrases, instantly took it as a partisan attack, and retreated to your bubble and raised the drawbridge (okay, that metaphor is a little mixed).

And now you'll wave your hands and declare yourself the victor because you oh-so-cleverly deduced that by trying to insultingly dismiss a discussion you never grasped in the first place, I'd almost certainly want to correct your deliberately ignorant summary of what you thought you read. In your mind, that's "See? Told you he'd have to have the last word! I know all and see all!"

SansNeural: palelizard: SansNeural: palelizard: Mike_LowELL: I've been to Fark a couple of times and they're pretty much the worst of the lot.

There was a particular and notable instance where I pointed out that there are very bad people on both sides.  I was trying to compromise in our polarized political climate.  But suddenly and without warning, the posters begin screaming at me, telling me how I am a bad person, simply for pointing out that the Axis powers had legitimate grievances of their own.

I explained that the Weimar Republic was stabbed in the back, but before I could point out the group of individuals responsible for this metaphorical atrocity, I received a message from one of the moderators to "please stop trolling, Mike, I'll buy you another box of Ding Dongs if you do, sweetykins", and it was in this moment that I realized my mom was such a sweet person and she was really looking out for me.

I stopped posting for about six hours and then started right back, knew my mother would cave like a house of cards, I must have eaten like three boxes of Zingers and HoHos on that day, goddamn, literally feeding the troll, if you catch my drift, lol.

Please don't ever stop being you. Shine on, you crazy diamond.

Even after he wore out his welcome with random precision?

?

...
You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon
Shine on you crazy diamond
Threatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light
Shine on you crazy diamond
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision
Rode on the steel breeze
...

Pink Floyd, whom I assumed you were quoting.

Yes, sorry, just less familiar with the rest of the lyrics.

Ishkur: EdgeRunner: I thought we had every flavor of "Democrats good, Republicans bad" here, ranging from the well-considered and thoughtful to the wild-eyed and frothing "Fire never melted steel" level of wingnut howling. What's so unusual about her screeds that they wouldn't fit in on a site that gleefully celebrated Herman Cain's death as a good start? Is she also an anti-vaxxer or a coronavirus conspiracy nut or something?

I don't want to do a deep dive on her nonsense but she belongs with the Matt Taibbi "I'm a liberal who hates liberals" camp. That side is convinced the Russia investigation and interference in our elections is all made up nonsense, either because they don't believe Russia is competent enough to pull something like that off, or because they think the Democrats hate Trump so much that they manufactured this scandal to take him down.

Despite this she accuses Vladimir Putin of doing a lot of things including murdering Andrew Breitbart, planting docs on Anthony Weiner's computer, and that half of Israel and Silicon Valley are Russian moles (including Zuckerberg, Peter Thiel, etc.). And she complains daily that the Russians are spying on her.

I see that you're still busy trying to disown Louise Mensch, who was HRC supporters' favorite conspiracy theorist for quite a while after the 2016 election.

Was she ever namedropped? I really don't recall ever hearing of this person till now, though admittedly I don't spend a lot of time in the PolTab, which tends to just endlessly and boringly repeat the same rigid and unchanging positions. It's a lot like a very angry Disney ride, where the same old automatons go through the same old motions and recite the same old dialogue, year in and year out, no matter what's actually happening in the world outside.

Song / lyrics that I do know are something of a curse :|

You could have only said "diamond" and that entire song, maybe the whole album, might have lit up in my brain and followed me for the next day or two.  But no... you had to quote an entire *line* of the song.  You bastard.

She ran (still runs?) the Patribotics website, essentially alone. Her ~name~ was almost never dropped, but Patribotics got a whole lot of exposure and breathless support from the aforementioned community.

Trying to disown?

I was never a fan of hers to begin with. WTF are you talking about?

Patribotics? Did her political mutterings include a shady diet plan?

Probably. She's scammed just about everyone.

I took a look there to see if she had any opinions about the epidemic, but she hasn't posted anything there since the Julian Assange days of July 2019, so I would use the phrase "used to run". I guess she's just a Twit now.
