You gonna need bigger drones if you want to take down a nuclear power plant.

They need to use some counter measures.

Exactly! Nothing so weak could ever harm something so strong.

iirc, they tested nuclear plant dome designs by crashing jet planes into them.

The drones don't bother me half as much as the staffing and maintenance "exceptions" they talk about at the end of the article.

Having to work 14 consecutive 12 hour days? Deferred maintenance? Way to bury the lede.

So what you're saying is that nuclear plants have never been tested to see if they can withstand a drone strike.  Ever.

This is deeply concerning.

They're spending half their time outside watching drones, from the sound of it.

Not worried about drone strikes.

Worried about surveillance.  Monitoring and logging security habits, procedures, and response times.

US Government: Creates surveillance state, passes laws to allow monitoring all aspects of population's daily lives and communications without warrant.

Also US Government: Whines about non-government cameras being nosey.

There are nuclear plants that have remote control rifles mounted on their buildings.  All nuclear plants must pass NRC security testing, and that is one way to do it without added expensive staff.

Maybe they were just measuring the place for a bra.

Looks fishy. Surveillance for gaps in the security infrastructure likely. If you can carry five pounds of high yield bang bang you can take out something vital. Could be Instagram morons, could be CCP.
Yeah, double oh buck is good, but EM jamming might be a good idea.

I think Goliath was just the Andre the Giant of the day.  A rock to the head can hurt you.

I was flying my drone outside my house and my neighbor came out and asked me to stop, he admitted his relative staying with him has warrants and she was paranoid I was the Police or government.
This is their house if you want to call the PoPo!

/Normally don't fly around my house, I was testing new software.
