That's because the effort to normalize federal interference has been achieved.

Let's wait until November.

Trump tweeted that the agents would remain in Portland until Brown brings the protests led by "anarchists and agitators" under control.

Don't mind me. I'm just going to sit here and hold my breath until Tim Pool and Andy Ngo acknowledge that their fear-mongering breakdown of society after the feds left were wrong.

Please, don't call for help. I'm sure that any minute now I they will tweet a level-headed response.

It is as if the only group that was violent were the fed agents themselves.

In the words of a once relevant man: you can't explain that.

Huh, it's almost as though the ones causing the violence were the Feds. How bizarre.

Good.  Now let's arrest those federal agents for treason.

I just left from tonight's protest. The feds refrained from starting a riot and didn't come out or randomly abuse or provoke protestors.

The night was peaceful again.

Jeeze, I find it fascinating that when you remove the aggressive, militarized police presence, people stop rioting and go back to protesting.

One might say I even find it Hypnotic.

I'm almost certain a certain bootlicker that has been spending a great deal of effort trying to convince everyone the actions of the feds were necessary to restore order to the area  is going to be mysteriously absent from this thread, despite being all over the previous threads like stink on shiat.

Wow who knew not using authoritarian tactics would lead to a peaceful night, not like there have been studies about bringing out riot cops and using heavy handed tactics during protests can lead to violence. But to morons like Trump it is all hammers and nails and when they hit their hand it is the nails fault.

We found the answer as to what would it take for Andy Ngo to question anything a cop says.

Sean VasDeferens: The feds were never at the protest.

blatant lies don't work so well when pretty much everyone has a video camera in their pocket.

they were here. they instigated violence by tear gassing crowds who were peacefully chanting. they beat the volunteer medics in the protest crowd, they beat and pepper sprayed the moms and veterans. there is film of it.

the protests were winding down a bit with just a few hundred people each night. when the feds showed up in military technicool outfits and unmarked and started doing it everyone got pissed. the protests went from a few hundred people to a few thousand.

the attempt to divide the country failed here. half the protestors are conservatives who just got very upset seeing what was going on. they showed up to protect the medics and moms. they didn't like watching a veteran getting beaten for asking questions. it has unified PDX. while there are people of different political leanings in the city we are all in agreement that this was some bullshiat.

get the fascist brown shirts out of my city.

Feds didn't withdraw. State police illegally invaded and occupied their state.

Rare instance where the question in a headline can be answered with a '"yes".

Funny thing with this comic is it's exact opposite of what happened.
The courthouse is immobile. The protesters went to beat on the courthouse. The feds came out in a swarm to defend their courthouse and the protestors got stung with teargas and rubber bullets.
They then ran to the press and complained.

So now the state has stepped in to defend the exterior of the courthouse. If that continues to work then there's no need for the feds to be outside.
They'll stay inside, where they always were.

What planet do you live on.  They were on federal property defending it from being attacked by terrorists, period, it even states such fact in the article.

New York Times journalists witnessed federal forces range as far as three blocks away from the Hatfield Courthouse.

Those bastards went further off leash than they had any business going, and the people who were there, protesting know this. This is one of the reasons why they were angry in the first place!

You tried though. 2/10.

Well, he is wearing a costume, and those constumers did break windows. Not sure how much spray paint they broke.

Reminds me of the part of James Veitch's TED Talk where the scammer writes him as "Head of Costumer Care" and Veitch asks him "What sort of costumes do you do?"

The chase was instigated by the attack on the courthouse.
If you don't smack the beehive then this is rarely a problem.
