I don't know, but it has made a lot of people angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

In science, if you want to know the answer to a question about the Universe, you have to interrogate the Universe itself.

...preferably in a dark and dingy room with a bright lamp hanging overhead.

Car battery and nipple clamps optional.

Intelligent design was attempted after a few eons of serious drinking.

In the Beginning, the Universe said "Let there be God". And in the Beginning God said, "Let there be Universe".  And this continued in tightening Recursive Iteration and it was Not Good.

The problem with interrogating the universe is that it takes billions of years to get from one nipple to the other.

Well what else was it going to do?

You exist at the intersection of set of events that can produce only you.

Especially after getting shunned by all those other universes.  Tired of being the kicked-dog, it decided it needed its own dogs to kick.

There was a celestial round of drunk D&D going on and someone told god that without powers, it wasnt possible for him to create anything

So god proved them wrong by rolling a natural 20 50 times in a row on a create wonderous item check

Bam - earth was made and populated

It didn't. We descend from chains of molecules that collected and interacted and randomly combined again and again. We are naught but proof that math is f*ckin' hard sometimes.

The Anthropic Principle is the Yogi Berra of principles.  The universe is tuned just right for us to observe the universe because if the universe wasn't tuned just right we wouldn't be here to observe that the universe is tuned just right for us to observe the universe.

Seems like rehashed info again that didn't deliver what I still question.  What was the spark of life?

It goes from:
"It took 13.8 billion years for humans to come into being on Earth, and we've finally reconstructed the cosmic story of how we got here."

To:
"The third planet from that Sun, Earth, would eventually form life and lead to human beings arising."

Enough time and energy with basic elements in proximity to aggregate into increasingly heavier elements and eventually molecules, compounds and so on.  Energy and proximity leading to ever higher complexity.

And don't give me none of your "entropy" crap.  Stick enough energy into a system and shiat *will* happen.
