With two red cards? LOL

Norwich is imploding.
Two red cards in the first half.
And now Gudmusdsson with the bicycle kick for the goal just before halftime.
1-0

i thought it was an early match and figured i missed it

They need 4 more for a forfeit.

I want to see it.

Everything I saw was for the Arsenal/Man City FA Cup semifinal, so I figured they hadn't scheduled any EPL games today.

It's reminiscent of the early 2000s when you had to add extra channels to your damn cable package in order to watch any games, and I don't like it one bit

Maybe Burnley can drop in a couple in these last 20 minutes.  Norwich has to be exhausted.

2020-07-18 2:10:44 PM
How is this not 5-0?

The only goal was soft.

Norwich have all 9 players back defending when Burnley have the ball and yet ...

They've even had a shot this half.

2020-07-18 2:11:17 PM
oof

Must be tired.

No other explanation for that OG.

an OG  omg

2020-07-18 2:12:03 PM
if Krul catches that, it's a backpass, right?  and indirect free kick?

hypotheticals time

2020-07-18 2:12:17 PM
That sums up Norwich's season.
Own goal Godfrey.
0-2

2020-07-18 2:12:27 PM
Down two men, decided to go down 2 goals...

Ok Burnley, no more

well, I'm on a perfect now

What a save by Pope on the deflected shot!

Would've doubled their total since the restart

Amazingly, Norwich are not much worse with 9 players than they are with 11 on the field.

/forehanded insultliment

Rough game for Norwich all around

i was going to ask man city to do their job against arsenal

but then i remembered it's the FACup and unfortunately one of these teams will win

we're in the no replay rounds, right?

these go straight to pens if tied?

medius: we're in the no replay rounds, right?

Yes, and there's talk that for next season (due to what will be season-long fixture congestion), there will be no replays at all.

2020-07-18 2:45:23 PM
Bear in mind that in any normal year we'd already have *played* the extra preliminary round and the first qualifying round of the 2021 fa cup... (the fa cup is open to any team that's a full member of the fa, from Liverpool all the way down to the amateurs who get together and play in the local league for a laugh on sundays)

I don't think as many teams will enter this year, there may not be as many teams that even still exist compared to this time last year, we won't know until October most likely.

It's on ESPN+ instead, because they're greedy

ESPN is showing Cagliari - Sassuolo instead of the FA Cup.
Watching that as I have a soft spot for Sassuolo.

1-0 to the Arsenal.

From The Guardian's minute-by-minute:

But the flag had gone up for offside. VAR checks, just in case, because they've paid for the kit and they might as well stick their neb in, but it was clearly the correct decision.

2020-07-18 3:50:40 PM
Did Norwich even spend any money when they came up?

Is the chairman just using all the Premier League money to pay down club debt or something?

More from The Guardian:

56 min: Gundogan makes good down the middle and sprays a pass wide right for the increasingly influential Mahrez. The cross that follows is cleared easily enough, but Arsenal aren't playing with quite the same confidence right now, sitting back and asking for trouble.

How long until City proves this prophetic?
