The last two times Liverpool won the English top flight, Leeds United were promoted up from the second tier (1990 and 2020). Leeds has two more games this season and could win the second tier title like in 1990.

OK, now it's Pompey's turn.

So... Leeds United finally claw their way back to the top division after the absolute clusterfark their old ownership from 16 years ago brought upon them that caused their rapid fall down the tables.

A coworker and friend had been a Leeds United fan through it all, including graduating from the University of Leeds.

I'm happy for him.

I hereby demand that I be given a Fark account: A coworker and friend had been a Leeds United fan through it all, including graduating from the University of Leeds.

I'm happy for him.

Hey!  I went there too!

Fark, this. I like it when Forest is in the top flight.

It's going to take a miracle playoff run for Forest to make it this year, much as I'd love us to.

Our only consolation will be we won't have to play Leeds next season. Very few teams I actively dislike, and they're one of them. Not for any rational reasons of course, this is sport we're talking about.

How bad are their remaining fixtures?  I mean, I looked at 3-6 in the table, and the other 3 in the playoffs are not exactly up to snuff, especially of Brentford can leap over the Baggies.

Barnsley away then Stoke at home.

Barnsley are already well relegated and just playing for pride. Stoke are drawing their game at the moment which would be enough for them to be safe, so that might be a nothing game for them too. But if Stoke end up needing something it could get squeaky.

So a playoff spot is likely, it's just that Forest regularly choke in playoff games.

As a Chelsea fan, I welcome the opportunity to reignite this rivalry. It's been nearly 8 years since they last met, so I'm sure everyone has had a chance to work on their stuff arms and studs-up-tackles.

I'm glad they're back. They were one of 3 English teams I even knew about as a kid (Arsenal and Man U being the others).

Hopefully they're smarter with their finances than last time.

The only good thing about being relegated is we won't have to face Leeds.

The fans are almost as bad as Millwall and when Leeds cam to play in the past it was one of the few games the Police actually turned up to, and did so mob handed.

I do. They used to incorporate home plate into their crest.
