I learned the word "rescission" today.

If this is their attitude now, what happens between 11/3/2020 and 1/20/2021?

Hey no worries; Trump told Telemundo that he was gonna expand DACA and offer a path to citizenship just a week or two ago so Latinos should vote for his reelection. Some one must have missed that memo.

Roberts had no problem with Citizens United. Think he gives a rats ass about justice?

Even Nixon honored SCOTUS decisions, even if he knew the decision would hurt him. For example, when they ruled 8-0 to release the Watergate tapes, he did so, even though the tapes incriminated him.

Trump doesn't give a fark. He thinks he is the law and no one can touch him, and so far, he's been proven right.

Path to citizenship: Be rich, give Trump a lot of money.

See? There's a path!

Very likely a situation involving ordnance, even with an overwhelming Biden victory. And the GOP Senate will have made it possible.

You forgot about the "Be a supermodel from Eastern Europe" amendment....

Another impeachable action that the Republicans will ignore and what's her name will assure us that Trump has learned his lesson this time for sure.

That, however, is a very dangerous situation for the GOP. First off, Roberts has as much of an ego as the next person with power. He is the Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court, and he will hobble people who farks with it because (SURVEY SAYS!) it makes him look weak and ineffectual. That's a bad precedent to allow for someone who plans on being there another twenty years, at least. #MoscowMitch might allow it, but Nancy is in charge of the other chamber, and she'll rain down fire the instant it starts.

Basically it becomes lose/lose for the GOP and threatens the gains they made by stacking the court.

Until something happens that shows the GOP isn't totally servile, they are totally servile.

It's going to be ugly, and folks who have allowed Trump to maintain office will be among the collateral damage when he decides he doesn't want to go.

The judges CAN have people arrested and fined.
Court orders go far.

While T can be protected for now as prez...the other staffers aren't.
Enjoy your new stripes.

I agree, but I'm counting on something that can be counted upon: Robert's ego.

If the rules don't matter now, then I expect them not to matter when the shoe is on the other foot. Biden can and should ignore rulings that don't work in his favor, especially anything Alito or BeerBro write dissenting opinions on.

If the Republicans don't want that to take place, they can contain Donald.

It took decades but crapping on black voters finally came back to be more harmful than beneficial to the Republican strategy. Their next move is to crap on latinos/hispanics?

It's a bold strategy Cotton, let's see how it works out for them.

This makes me want to search "How long did it take the USA to recover from the Andrew Jackson Presidency" but apparently we still haven't.

America is destined to be a majority Brown Country so let's make sure we REALLY piss them all off before that happens....

I don't care what legal excuse there is for him being immune, this is just wrong.

...or repealing sanctions against states to keep them from violating the Voting Rights Act of 1965.  How'd that work out?  He had a chance to correct that in Florida yesterday and punted.
