Do not believe any polls.

I have said before: I keep seeing these stories about how catastrophic the Trump campaign is and how his support is fracturing. I'll start to believe it when his Popularity number breaks through 40%.

Pretty much everywhere in 2018, and that turned into a pretty good start. Two years on, even more people are sick of Trump's shiat. I'm hopeful.

The Republican Party should be declared a terrorist organization

Don't worry Subs, Dems will ratfark this opportunity.

I read it in 2008 when the president and both houses of congress went dem. But it didn't last. Republicans got the senate majority back 2 years later.

We're waiting for this big fundamental shift and I'm just afraid it's never going to come.

The Senate map for 2022 favors Dems. This was the year for Rs to keep. If Donnie acted like an adult for the pandemic, they'd get relected. Only his dumbass could have have varied it up this bad. Dems might have all houses for 4 years.

Either the GOP gets destroyed this election or the world will assume the US is done and the majority of americans are fascist scumbags.

So they've set themselves up as this nationalistic party of and for whites men and are somehow surprised that they could lose power in a country where that description applies to what, 30% of the population? I hope that they aren't surprised.

I'm ok with this happening, but the only way it happens is if people actually go out and vote.  SO VOTE.  And take a friend with you so they can vote.  Or help them ask for an absentee ballot.

My guess is about 25-30% are full-on brainwashed cult followers and another 10-15% are either authoritarians or simply want to watch the US burn for the lulz. Not all sociopaths and psychopaths are in prison.

Republicans might be able to turn it around but they'd all have to pressure Trump to resign, today.

Trump is resisting arrest by refusing to resign. Complicit Republicans are aiding and abetting.

I'm getting all kinds of surreal imagery from that.

But yea, I'd be more confident if the Democrats didn't have a nearly perfect record of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

That was the year Jenks, a reliably republican district in the state house in Oklahoma, flipped from Republican to voting in a lesbian social worker endorsed by Bernie to represent them.

The fraud level for the Rs is going to be through the roof at election time.  I don't even think they'll bother with getting the presidential office, they'll just focus on keeping their senate majority.  They'll let Trump make all the noise they know he will make when he loses to take focus off of the surprisingly solid R seat holding.

Then the senate can continue ruining the country.

I hope social distancing restrictions don't come back around then.. I need to make up for the 2016 election watch party with something that doesn't turn into a 3 day hangover and me using vacation days to take off from work because we have a stupid policy where I can't use sick time for hangovers.

They aren't going anywhere as long as Fox, OAN, and the right-wing propaganda arm are still going strong. They created this mess, and will continue to do so to ensure their failed neoliberal policies are kept in place.

But then how would the healing begin?
