Just in time to muzzle the CDC and remove hospitalization numbers from public view.  Coincidence?

Why fearmonger about a pandemic when you can fearmonger about minorities?

Who should get treatment for Covid-19 when the hospitals are full? I don't know, but I know who should be left on the curb to fend for themselves:

- Anti-Maskers
- Anti-Vaxxers
- QANON things
- Those proud baby boys and their boyfriends
- Anyone planning to vote for that souless thing in 2020

America Runs on StupidTM

2020-07-16 5:44:29 PM
An old proverb says : misfortune teaches us the truth about ourselves and the world we live in.

And the misfortune of COVID shows us the truth about America and its not a pretty sight.

Most of us only realize what life really is when we're touched by death, this pandemic will wake up tens of thousands of humans to what life is really all about.

The worst humans know nothing of life until they die, even when they get close to it, they deny reality... those are the plague rats.

Once again, we get a reminder to not to jump to conclusions based on one days news.

Just because the news on one day fits your narrative, does not mean it is the whole truth. Or any truth. It is simply an event.

Danger Avoid Death: America Runs on StupidTM risk and bad math.

You ask someone, "well, there's a 0.5%-3% chance you'll die if you catch it, unless you opt for the best solution which is to completely halt America for a month", and your average American will think it over for a little, but probably choose to roll the dice every time. "Can't happen to me."

"But given the policy choices that state and federal officials have made, the virus has done exactly what public-health experts expected."

What's that? The experts were right again? They combined models derived from old data with current data and somehow predicted what would happen?

This is clearly some kind of anti-Republican sorcery that cannot be allowed to continue.

The daily deaths rate is on a slump right now. But it will go through the roof very soon. As it follows that red graph.

Think about how you felt in January 2009, when Obama was inaugurated.  Try and recapture that feeling.  Have faith that a day that great will come again. And we will appreciate it so much, after all the shift we've been through the past few years.

I have 4 downvotes and no Smarties. Methinks I good clearly spoke not :(

I was trying to say that this article is pointing out the whole truth. Earlier articles that paint a rosy picture are the ones people grasp at to reinforce their views. An article that points out a one day drop in infections or deaths is not a conformation of anything. Better?

OR ... I did make it clear to everyone with super intelligence like me and Wile E Coyote have. Ima gonna go with that explanation :)

My hospital (South Florida) has already expanded our ICU by 50% to accommodate more COVID patients and filling up those rooms pretty quickly. Don't know if we can expand any further (well, we CAN physical space wise, but not personnel). Why yes, they already have a refrigerated truck outside waiting for costumers,as the morgue will fill up by tomorrow or next day.

Costumers? A refrigerated morgue truck is a really inappropriate location for a cosplay convention.

Sorting out the politics of people when you first meet them in the hospital seems difficult. Maybe you apply for a mask exemption and when you get it your name is entered into a database that makes you low priority in hospitals for the time you have the exemption plus one month?

Q1: Do you have any existing cardiopulmonary issues?

....

Last Q: Do you need a mask exemption while receiving treatment at this healthcare facility?

If they answer yes to the last question without specifying anything in the first question, let them die on the sidewalk.
