The guy who catches the ball does his best to maintain social distancing while the other team pursues?

the NFL has more money to brute-force it and far fewer teams so I wouldn't make a prediction there yet but I will predict that there for-sure will not be college football this year

Lee Corso. In a field. Alone. With a giant duck head. Looking sad.

Why would you have College Gameday if there are no college football games?

Exactly.

I don't see any High School or College Football, and don't have much hope for pro ball either.

Since the SEC is the only league likely to be playing, I'd say it will work just about the same as always.

I'm not seeing any college football this year.  Changing its schedule to "conference only" just bought the Big Ten some time to wait and see if things get better.

College Gameday had a magical four or five year run starting around 2004 but ESPN wanted to milk it and it is difficult to maintain that atmosphere over three hours, especially when every single thing started getting sponsored. It shouldn't be driven to a farm upstate or anything but I've got old College Gameday episodes corresponding with the games they were at on DVDs and it just isn't the same at all, the difference is very palpable.

I felt like the 90s were the time for College Game Day when they first went on campus.  Hell, the 90s were the time for all of ESPN's shows not including all The Ocho programming they had in the 80s.

The way things are going in the south, they'll be lucky if it comes back for the 2021 season.

Yeah pro sports are lying to themselves, they will get about three weeks in and players start testing positive and it gets shut down.

UF already has 29 positive cases across all sports that have returned to campus.  Oh, the AD caught it also.  I wonder how many covid deaths it will take before the schools scrap athletics this year?  You know it is going to happen sooner or later.
