I had more fun pronouncing his last name than I did looking at the pictures.

I want my money back.

Yeah, pasting 2 images on a canvas and cropping them sure requires a lot of Photoshop skill.

The concept is mildly amusing, the photography skills and eye for finding 2 subjects to smash together is pretty good.

But I was expecting something that was technically difficult in Photoshop, so the result was pretty disappointing.

At first I was annoyed that I could see the transition line, thinking "Why don't you blend it so you can't tell what you did?"

Then I realized that the only editing he is doing is putting two pictures side by side. This is much more elegant than the Photoshops I am used to looking at. I don't think I ever see that in Fark Photoshop contests.

These aren't shopped in the way we're used to so it's easy to initially criticize the low technical skill displayed. But the level of effort in finding two perfect source photos is crazy and resisting the urge to edit the photos more than he does must have been brutal.

They are neat and fun images but having a large number of photos to trial and error against each other and how to use the crop and resizing features ≠ Photoshop skill.

It's not that hard to blend the backgrounds or to clip the subjects out of one background and blend into another. Especially with clearly delineated subjects like most of those images have.

This is akin to when I take a game screenshot run it through some filters and get an awesome funky desktop picture. It may look nice, and even be satisfying on an artistic level, but it is NOT showing a significant level of photoshop skill.

Skill is like my pro-level friend who went to a Photoshop conference and attended a seminar where the guy from Adobe, who was the company expert on the tools, giving the lecture said "this can't currently be done in Photoshop"; and she walks up after tells him exactly how it can be done, naming the brush to use without looking at it on screen and explaining the technique. Guy gave her swag and a took her contact information for a free pass to the next conference on the spot.

Skill is her seamlessly compositing in a family member who missed the group wedding party photo, using a different picture of them from the reception under different lighting.

So no, while these are nice and entertaining images, this is amateur level Photoshop work.
