I'm surprised the news isn't making a bigger deal out of this.

I filed back in March, but I owed, so I didn't bother to send any money at the time. They got their money on Monday.

Doing my taxes in February finally paid off.

Finally did mine last night, I'm such a lazy procrastinating biatch.

I'll be getting back a couple grand, and I'm kinda glad I held out to file until now.  It'll come in handy.

Extension filed! Yay!

Anybody who didn't pay their taxes on time is a member of the oppressor class and needs to be antifaed in the street.  If I can pay and get my taxes filed on time, anybody can.  MAYBE we can give a pass to actual coma patients.  And the dead.  But that is it.  If you don't pay your taxes on time and file on time, you should be so ashamed of yourself you commit ritual suicide.  Taxes keep the government functioning, and without the government, people might be free.  And freedom leads to pain and blood.

Delayed taxation is delayed theft. I got the filing part done but will dole out what I owe little by little over the next 5 months. I ain't starving to death for those farks.

Had I let my tax payment sit in a high yield savings account instead of just paying my taxes in February, I would have made almost $2 in interest.

And then I would owe more on my 2020 taxes.

In before "if you let the government take out more than they should during the year your giving them an interest free loan"

/That's not a typo. That's exactly how you'd write "you're", McVeigh

I'm still hurting from the check I had to write two weeks ago.

All paid up except the franchise tax thing because for some reason they didn't take the money, guess I'll have to send a check.

I did mine in Feb. Then filed 2017's in March. Then got (sorta) my stimulus check that all combined knocked out 3 years of past-due child support from when I was homeless living under a bridge and cranked my credit score from 545 to 690 and state tax returns finished paying off a state tax lien from 2013.

No idea why y'all just don't withhold an extra $10/wk rather than have to pay it all in one go.

Filed back in March. Then had to file amended returns after it was discovered during the refinancing process for our house that the first returns we filed were wrong. Missed locking an unbelievable rate.  Grrrr.

This year I did mine in January. I normally wait until the last minute to file. Family tells me I I basically divided by zero and caused all of 2020's problems.

I kinda believe that.

Ya'll didn't do them on January 1st?

RussianPotato: Ya'll didn't do them on January 1st?

Most of my tax documents weren't ready until mid-January. So I waited until July to make sure everything was in order.
